INSTRUCTION MANUAL  MODEL: CM20 (whole set) / CM30 (without wireless headphone)  INTRODUCTION & WARNINGS  Thank you for purchasing this iPod Universal Docking System with built-in amplifier, wireless speakers & wireless headphone (only available in CM20 system), the result of our advanced state-of-the-art electronic design. To achieve the best results from this product, please read this manual carefully before operating this product.  In no circumstances attempt to open this product. The presence of high voltages or radio frequency emissions means that maintenance should only be carried out by the appointed service centers.  ATTENTION • To avoid risk of electric shock, DO NOT exposes this product to water or dampness. • The technical assistance service manual contains important maintenance instructions for the safety of the product.  PRECAUTIONS • DO NOT Place this product on a very hot or very cold surface & keep out of direct sunlight. • Avoid using or storing the product in a dusty or damp area, in any unstable location or in any magnetic zone. • Always keep & operate this product in a well-ventilated environment. • DO NOT use petrol, gasoline, thinners or any solvent to clean the product. • Remove dust or stains with a damp cloth only. • Do not use oil or grease any mechanical parts. All moving parts in this produce were thoroughly lubricated & sealed in the factory & require no further lubrication. • If any liquids should accidentally fall on or get in to the product, immediately switch off the power &contact an authorized service center or a qualified & registered electrician for assistance.    Before using the product with the approved power adapter provided, ensure the electric
power supply in your country is compatible with the voltage rating of the provided power adapter. • Use ONLY the provided power adapter. Never use other power adapters even if they have the same specifications or rating. • Do not insert or remove the power adapter for the electric outlet with wet or damp hands. • Remove the power adapter from the electric outlet if the product is not in use for a long time. • When inserting or removing the power adapter from any electric outlet, pull the plug only. • Never pull or jerk the cable to avoid the risk of electric shock due to damage to the cable. Battery Compartment (on the Left Headphone)   POWER SUPPLY & CONNECTIONS  1.  Connect the plug of the provided power adapter to the 12V DC socket of the docking and connect the plug to the electric outlet. 2.  Put your iPod into the dock with appropriate adapter, or simply connect your audio source by using the provided audio cable to the “Audio In” of the docking. Caution: The iPod music will mute automatically when you plug the 3.5mm plug to the “Audio In” jack from the docking. 3.  Turn on your iPod by switching the power switch to AF ot TX   D1 D3 D4 D2
NOTE: 1.  Always remember to remove the power adapter form the electric outlet when the product is not in use. 2.  This device will automatically switch-off when there are no audio signals for about 1 minute.  OPERATION  For Normal Audio Mode: 1.  Connect the speakers to Audio Out socket 2.  Place your Music iPod onto the docking and switch on your device to AF mode 3.  Use the functions key to select the appropriate action 4. Enjoy your music.  For Wireless Mode: 1.  Place your Music iPod onto the docking and switch on your device to TX mode 2.  Switch on your wireless speakers or wireless headphone (only CM20) 3. Adjust the volume by using your volume control from your speaker or headphone respectively since the volume from your iPod or volume from your iPod docking will be malfunction when you are using wireless mode 4. Enjoy your music
MAINTENANCE The system is maintenance-free.  Therefore never open it if the system is opened, the warranty is voided.  Check the technical safety of the system and the connected units regularly for damaged cable or housing.    If it becomes probable that a risk-free operation is no longer possible, take the system out of operation and secure it against unwilling operation in the following cases a risk free operation becomes improbable: • The system is visibly damaged. • The system does not work any more • After a long storage under poor conditions • After heavy transport stress The system should be cleaned on the outside with a soft dry cloth or brush.  Never use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents, which could damage the housing and impair the function.  Before cleaning the system observe the following safety instructions: • When opening covers or disassembling parts, live parts may be exposed. • Before any maintenance or repair every connected unit must be took out the batteries. • Specialists who are aware of the risks and of the relevant regulations may only execute repairs.  DISPOSAL Always dispose of used systems according to the current legal regulations.  TROUBLE-SHOOTING Observe the safety instruction first!  No Sound: • An audio source is not switched on • No power supply to the transmitter or no batteries for the speaker or headphone. Check the operation LED • The volume control on the speaker or headphone is in minimum position or the volume is too low.
Playback on only one channel: • The balance control on the audio source is not set correctly. • The iPod is not plugged correctly  Playback noise • The range of the transmitter has been exceeded. • There is a metal barrier between the transmitter and receiver ( i.e. a steel reinforced concrete wall). • Disturbance by other radio emitters (cordless telephone, computer, microwave oven etc.). Find another position for the system or the disturbing unit respectively.  Distortion • Volume on the headset is set too high.    Reduce volume. • Volume on the audio source is too high; there is an overdrive at the input of the transmitter.    Reduce volume.  TECHNICAL DATA • Operating voltage: Transmitter - 12V AC/DC Adapter Wireless speaker - 3V DC by 4 x AA size batteries (not included) Wireless headphone - 3V DC by 2 x AAA size batteries (not included) • Frequency response: 30Hz - to 3000Hz • Transmitter frequency: 49.86MHz • Range: Approx. 10 – 15meters (largely depending on surrounding conditions)  WARNING • Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. • Ensure that the ventilation is not impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. • Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on the apparatus. • Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates). • Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing. • Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus. • The location of the marking are situated on the base at the bottom of the
apparatus • The mains plug or the appliance coupler shall always remain readily operable. • Take attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
