SETUP YOUR PC AND USB PHONE
1.
Turn on your PC. Insert the installation disk to your computer.
2.
Go to your CD-Rom directory and double click on the installation icon. An installation
wizard will guide you through the installation.
3.
When finished, plugged in the USB base to your computer’s USB slot and login to your
SKYPE account.
4.
Double click on the shortcut icon the software has created on your desktop; the program
will start searching for SKYPE and the base.
5.
When the program has finished loading, the icon will be minimized and will be hidden on
the lower right corner of your desktop.
6.
Place the 2 rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries (rated 1.2 V 750 mAh), observing their
polarities, into the battery compartment on the handset.
7.
Plug the charger adapter to the proper mains wall outlet (check the rating label on the
adapter).
8.
Place the handset on the charger unit and let the batteries charge for full 14 hours before
using it for the first time.
KEYPAD FUNCTIONS
Soft Keys
The functions of the soft keys are displayed right above the soft keys.
Rock Key
Use to navigate the menus.
Talk & Recall Key
Use to make, to receive calls, and to send flash signal.
End & On/Off Key
Use to end a call, to exit menus, and to switch the phone on/off.
Star & Ringer Off Key
Use to turn the ringer on/off.
Pound, Key lock & Pause Key
Use to enter a pause and to lock the keypad.
Intercom Key
Use to enter the intercom menu.
Launch Key
Use to launch the c ontact list.
Calls Key
Use to enter the call records menu.
Page Key
Use to page the handset and to send registration signal.

USING THE PHONE
Make a SkypeOut Call to a Fixed Line
1. Press
key. Dial the number you want. When making SKYPEOUT calls, it is necessary to
dial the 00 as a prefix of the phone number you are calling. For example, North America: 00-1905-5251258 or international: 00-852-25447555
2. You can also predial the number while in standby mode and press the
key to connect the
call. To add a pause to the number you are predialing, press and hold # key.
Make a Call from Skype Contact List
1. Press
key to launch the contact list during standby.
2. Press Up and Down to select the contact to call. Press
to call the contact.
Answer / End a Call
1. Press
key to answer a call when the phone is ringing and
icon is flashing on the
display.
2. Press
key or place the phone on the charger to end a call.
Redial a Number
1. Press
key to seize a line. Press REDIAL to show and dial the last dialed number; or
2. Press LEFT or RIGHT during standby. The redial list appears and presses UP/DOWN to
select the number. Press
key to dial the selected number.
Save a Number in the Phonebook
1. Press NAMES. Select the phonebook (private or shared) you want to save a number.
2. Select ADD ENTRY. Enter the name and the number for the record.
3. Press SAVE to save the record.
Manage Phonebook records
1. You can view, edit, copy, and assign quick dailling to each of your phonebook records.
2. Press NAMES. Select PRIVATE or SHARED phonebook.
3. Select VIEW to edit phone record or copy phone record to either private or shared phonebook.
4. You can select QUICK DIAL to assign a quick dialing number, select STATUS to check the
phonebook status, and select DELETE ALL to delete all private phonebook records.
5. To make a quick dial call, you can just press and hold a digit key that you have set a quick dial
number to and your call is made.
Turn off Ringer Volume
1. Press SILENT when the phone is ringing to turn off the ringer for the call; or
2. Press and hold
key when the phone is in standby to turn off the ringer for all the calls.
Adjust the Volume of the Caller’s Voice
1. Press UP/DOWN to adjust the volume during a call.
Change Online Status
1. Press MENU. Press UP/DOWN to select IM CONFIG.
2. Select USER STATUS to change your online status. Press OK to confirm.

Noise
Electrical pulse noise is present at one time or another. This is most intense during electrical
storms. Certain kinds of electrical equipment, such as light dimmers, fluorescent bulbs, motors,
fans, etc., also generate pulse noise. Because radio frequencies are susceptible to this, you may
on occasion hear pulse noise through the receiver. This is usually only a minor annoyance and
should not be interpreted as a defect of the unit.

BATTERIES
• Use only the battery type listed in the instruction manual. Do not use lithium batteries or nonrechargeable batteries that may damage the handset and charger.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire, as they can explode.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and can cause damage
to the eyes or skin. It can be toxic if swallowed.
• Avoid contact with metal objects when handling the battery. These objects could short out the
batteries or cause the conductor to overheat resulting in burns.
• Do not attempt to recharge the battery cell by heating it. Sudden release of battery electrolyte
can cause burns or irritation to the eyes or skin.
• Observe the proper polarity, or direction, of any battery. Reverse insertion of the battery cell
can result in leakage or explosion.
• Remove the battery cells if you do not plan to use the product for several months at a time.
• Discard any “dead” batteries because they are likely to leak into the product.
• Do not store this product or the battery in a high temperature area. Battery stored in a freezer
or refrigerator should be protected from condensation during storage and defrosting. Battery
should be stabilized at room temperature before using.
• Your battery is rechargeable and can be recycled once it outlives its usefulness. Depending
upon your local and state law, it might be illegal to dispose of this battery into a municipal
waste system. Check with your local solid waste company for more information on your
recycling options for the battery cells.
