Enter the IP address of the host for which you wish to create a static route here. If you are building a route to an entire network, be sure that the network protion of the IP address is set to zero. For example, the Router’s standard IP address is 192.168.0.1. Based on this address, the address of the network to which the Router is connected 192.168.1.X. Therefore you would enter the destination IP address as 192.168.1.0 if you want to route to the router’s entire network, rather than just the router. Finally, enter the appropriate RIP Destination IP Address. RIP Destination IP Subnet Mask: The Network Mask determines which protion of an IP address is the network protion, and wich protion is the host protion. In the example above, the Network Mask is 255.255.255.0. This determines that the first three numbers of an network IP address identify this particular network, while the last digit(from 1 to 254) identifies the specific host. Finally, enter the appropriate RIP Destination IP Subnet Mask. After the settings is done, click Apply to enalbe it. - 42 - WebSTAR Cable RG User Manual 5.5-3 Firewall- Web Filters Web Filters: Web filters feature the blocking of the webs with certain keyword or domain.
