Wireless Resident Monitoring Solutions Asset Tracking Device Operational Instructions The HomeFree system is designed to monitor special needs individuals in the care center environment. The ATT (Asset Tracking Tag) is one of the many unique elements of this system. The ATT is a transmitter that is designed for installation on material assets such as computers and printers located within the monitored area. When the monitored item is in motion, the ATT transmits a signal that enables the item to be tracked. The ATT is not for use outside the monitored area. LED Indicator
Activating the Asset Tracking tag: The ATT is turned off by the manufacturer before shipment and must be activated before use. To activate, install the rear tamper plate onto the item that requires tracking. Click the ATT onto the rear tamper plate; the LED indicator flashes for 3 seconds indicating that the ATT has been activated successfully. Once in active mode, the ATT sends a status message to the monitoring station (every 60 minutes) indicating the current battery status as well as the location of the ATT. This status message is sent until the ATT is deactivated. Motion Alert: When the ATT detects motion, it sends a transmission every 20 seconds. The ATT sends these transmissions until 2 minutes have expired without motion. After 2 motion-free minutes, the ATT returns to Rest mode. Tamper Alert: If the ATT is removed from the tracked item (i.e. it becomes separated from the rear tamper plate), a tamper signal shall be sent once every 20 seconds for a period of one hour. After an hour, if the ATT is still separated from the tracked item, a tamper signal shall be sent once every 60 minutes. After the ATT has been in a tamper condition for 12 hours, it shall automatically deactivate itself. Deactivating the ATT: Separate the ATT from its rear tamper plate. After 12 hours, the ATT deactivates itself automatically.
