Manual Reset Device (MRD-RF)
Operational Instructions
The HomeFree system was designed to monitor special needs and Dementia
individuals in the care center environment. The Manual Reset Device
(MRD-RF) is one of the many unique elements of this system.
The Wireless Reset Device is a small, lightweight push button unit, carried
by the care center staff member, that can be used to temporary deactivate the
Wireless Monitoring Door Unit alarm (for door alarm bypass) as well as
reset unauthorized exit attempt alerts. The Manual Reset Device is not for
use outside the monitored area.

Deactivating the Wireless Monitoring Door Unit
Alert:
Once the Wireless Monitoring Door Unit alert has been activated, move to
the appropriate door / exit that activated the alarm. Escort the resident out of
the range of the Wireless Monitoring Door Unit. Standing relatively close to
the Wireless Monitoring Door Unit, hold the Manual Reset Device and press
the Reset button. The audible alarm is deactivated and Wireless Monitoring
Door Unit is reset.
Bypassing the Wireless Monitoring Door Alarm:
Once you are ready to escort the resident through the monitored door / exit,
ensure that the resident is out of the range of the Wireless Monitoring Door
Unit. Stand relatively close to the Wireless Monitoring Door Unit and
holding the Manual Reset Device, press the Reset button. You can now
escort the resident through the monitored door / exit. (Bypass interval time is
approximately 20 seconds).

The Manual Reset Device Unit MRD-RF complies with Part 15 of the
FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following conditions:
1) This device may not cause harmful interference and
2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesired operation.
3) Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Elmo Tech Ltd could
void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits of a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This device
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if installed and used in
accordance with the instruction, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
this device does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
CAUTION: Any changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by
Elmo Tech Ltd could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
