It is rare that any damage occurs during shipping, but ifthis does happen contact the shipping company immediately. We also recommend that you keep the original carton and packing material Quick Setup Connect the speakerwire from the left (powered) speaker to the right (passive) speaker, Connect the power cable to the A5+ Wireless rear panel and plug the other end into an Ac power outlet. Connect the wireless antenna to the A5+ Wireless rear panel. Wireless connection Turn on the AS+ Wireless power switch, which is located on the rear panel, The A5+ wireless will automatically go into pair mode and the Pair button on the rear panel ofthe powered speaker should be flashing, On your device, turn on Biuetooth and go to Bluetooth preferences, Select "Audioengine A5+" to pair and connect The Fair indicator on the A5+ Wireless rear panel should be solid. Play your music and adiust volume levels on A5+ wireless and your device Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add additional devices. A5+ wireless can connect only one device at a time, but it will remember up to six devices. To disconnect A5+ Wireless from a paired device and put the speakers back into pair mode, press and hold the Pair button on the A5+ Wireless rear panel until the indicator begins flashing Wired connection Connect one ofthe included audio cables to your music player (phone, tablet, computer, TV, etc i and the other end to an input on the A5+ wireless rear panel. Play your music and adiust the volume on the speakers and your device to the desired listening levels, inputs and volume settings Multiple sources and devices may be connected to the speakers at the sametime and all inputs are open and active so it's easy to swnch between your tablet, phone, TV, or any other device To adjust the volume, we recommend you first set a level on the A5+ wireless and then use the volume control directly on your device to adjust the overall level Volume settings are flexible and there is no right or wrong so feel free to experiment to find settings that work for you. Breakrin Period Vour speakers will sound great out ofthe box and Will get better over time, No need to do anything else but listen to them We do recommend that you give them at least 40 to 50 hours breakrin time before doing any critical listening cleaning We don’t recommend using any solvents or cleaners on Audioengine cabinets or speakers, Just Wipe them down With a soft, dry cloth. This output isvariabie radiustabie) so the volume level ofthe output can be controlled from the A5+ Wireless front panel or the remote control Stand Mounting Threaded W x 20 brass inserts are included on the bottom of each speaker cabinet to provide the ability to attach the speakers to floor stands; however, these inserts are not designed to support the fill weight ofthe speakers and therefore should not be used with single-point wall or ceiling mounts lmportantsarety note: it is the customer’s responsibility to check With the speaker stand manufacturer to determine whether that specrnc stand is capable orhandlrng the weight andproportions of these speakers in safe andstahle manner The customeris also responsible for proper selection ofmounting hardware not included wrth the speaker and for the proper assembly. Speaker Placement Although yourA5+ Wireless speakers are very forgiving with regards to placement, it’s true that proper speaker location can have an impact on sound quality. Even though there seem to be different theories on correct speaker placement, rooms and tastes are different so it's difficult to recommend a perfect setup We do suggest you feel free to experiment to see what works for you. As a general rule ofthumb for the best soundstage and imaging, the speakers should be equidistant from side walls and a different distance from rear wallsrweeters should be at about eyerlevei in your most frequent listening location and forthe best bass response we recommend at least 5 inches of clearance between the rear ofthe speakers and the wall behind them. Here are a few more suggestions, assuming you have some flexibility regarding where you place your speakers. No need for concern ifyour situation and listening environment dictate the speakers’ position Both speakers should be equidistant from your primary listening position Placing the speakers at least 5 feet (1.8m) apart usually provides the best imaging. Try to keep the speakers near the front edge ofshelves or cabinets. Allow at least 6 inches of clearance between the rear ofthe speakers and the wall or surface behind them. ifyou need to turn the speakers on their sides, position the tweeters toward the outside if used on a desktop for computer speakers, it's best Ifthey are placed on a solid surface, Remote Control M ute Press the Mute button to silence the A5+ Wireless. The front panel indicator will blink showing that the speaker ls muted Mute may also be cancelled by pressing the Volume (+) or (c) or by turning the front panel volume knob. Sleep Sleep mode is a power-saving reature, shown by a slow pulse ofthe front panel power indicator, To exit Sleep, press the Sleep button again. You can also put the A5+ Wireless into and out or5leep by pressing the front panel volume knob.
