Safety Information For FRS UNITYour wireless handheld portable transceiver contains a low power transmitter.When the Push-to Talk (PTT) button is pushed it sends out radio frequency (RF)signals. This device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%.In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted RFexposure guidelines with safety levels for hand-held wireless devices.WARNING: To maintain compliance with the FCC’ s RF exposureguidelines, this transmitter and antenna must maintain a separation distance of atleast 2 inches (5 centimeters) from your face. Speak in a normal voice, with theantenna pointed up and away from the face at the required separation distance.The belt clip is for storage purposes only. DO NOT TRANSMIT WHILE USINGTHE BELT CLIP. To transmit, hold the device away from your body and ensurethat the antenna is at least 2 inches (5 centimeters) from your body whentransmitting.Use only the supplied antenna.
