Installing the GB10A Sensor• Peel off the paper from the double sided tape on the backand attach the Sensor to the inside of a window.• Slide the battery compartment off and install two AAalkaline batteries, observing polarity.• Set the switch to 1 to make the unit more sensitive to thesound of breaking glass, or 2 for less sensitive (helpsprevent false alarms).Glass Break/Light Sensor, Model GB10A Set Up and Operating InstructionsX-10 (USA) Inc., 91 Ruckman Rd., Closter, NJ 07624.   www.x10.comGB10A-8/99DRPress and hold the TEST button for 10 seconds. The LED flashesand then stays on. Press again, the LED blinks the currentHousecode setting (1 for A, 2 for B, etc.). Press the LED thenumber of times for the new Housecode setting. The LED thenblinks back the setting.Replacing batteriesOpen the battery compartment and replace the batteries withtwo AA alkaline batteries. After replacing the batteries, thefollowing steps are necessary to determine that the Console stillrecognizes the GB10A.• Place the Console’s slide switch to RUN2.• Press  TEST on the GB10A. If the Console chimes, itrecognizes the GB10A and no further action is necessary.If the Console did not chime:Place the Console’s slide switch to INSTALL. Press TEST onthe GB10A. The Console beeps and logs in the GB10A to thenext available zone. To make sure the Console logs the GB10Aback into the same zone it was allocated to before you changedthe batteries, wait 4 hours after removing the old batteries beforereinstalling (until the zone indicator on the Console startsflashing).X-10 (USA) INC. Thiscan be a combination of Door/Window Sensors, MotionDetectors, and Glass Break/Light Sensors. See your SecuritySystem Owner’s Manual for more information.OperationWhen the security system is armed, the sound of breaking glasswithin 20 feet of the GB10A will set off the alarm.Setting the Housecode for the GB10A SensorThe GB10A also turns on a light (connected to an X10 Module)when it gets dark and turns it off when it gets light. It always turnson Modules set to Unit Code 1, but you can change the Housecodethat it transmits:LightSensorGlassBreakSensorGlassBreakSensitivity1 = High, 2 =  Low.
