1. INTRODUCTION AVANTE PAVS System is an advanced Personnel and Asset Visibility System which uses both the active and passive RFID technologies. In addition to the traditional access control for entrances, the system also provides IN/OUT entrance traffic records. The monitoring is automatic and non-obtrusive. Besides daily IN/OUT monitoring, the records can be used for emergency evacuation management. 2. PAVS TAG SIZE The following figure shows an active RFID card. The dimension of the card is ~ 2.12” x 3.37” x 0.11” (thickness). It is the same size of the ISO credit card but slightly thicker. 3. PAVS TAG FUNCTION AND USAGE The tag is designed to transmit in >10s interval. The read distance of the monitor is about 15 to 20 feet. If someone walks by the monitor with the tag in normal pace, the monitor should be able to capture the tag at least once. In order that the monitor can receive the tag correctly, please place the tag in front of human chest, about 4 to 6 feet high. And the tag should not be cover by any object except plastic holder and paper. 4. PAVS TAG STORAGE AND PROTECTION To protect the tag, please keep the tag in cool and try area.
