Company name: BICOM, Inc. Address755 Main St., Building 3 – BICOM Monroe, CT 06468 United States Product name: BICOM Wireless Audio Module Model: DWAM81 The DWAM81 is an OEM module (42 x 42mm) based on the DARR81. It provides up to 8 channels of low latency, uncompressed 16/24 bit, 44.1/48/96Ksps digital audio, improved interference robustness and coexistence supporting a radical extension to the boundaries of wireless audio applications. A unique set of protocols and algorithms provides extreme wireless robustness, capable of dealing with multiple interference sources as present in the 2.4GHz band. In addition, a wireless bi-directional data channel is available. DWAM81 is pre-qualified for FCC and ETSI requirements and allows for easy and fast design-in. Product Description: Operation Frequency: 2412~2464MHz Modulation Type: QPSK(digital modulation Bit Rate of Transmitter: 22Mbps Number Of Channel: 2412MHz,2438MHz,2464MHz Power Source: DC Voltage supplied from the test fixture modular FCC Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. -Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. To assure continued compliance, any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. (Example- use only shielded interface cables when connecting to computer or peripheral devices). FCC Radiation Exposure Statement This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Caution! The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by
unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Such modifications could void the user authority to operate the equipment. 1. This device and its antenna(s) must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. 2. This compliance to FCC radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment, and minimum of 20 cm separation between antenna and body. 3. The end product must carry a label stating "Contains FCC ID: Y5OBCM-D81". Canada Statement This Device complies with RSS-210 of the IC Rules; Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1). This device may not cause interference and (2). This device must accept any interference received,, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The end product must carry a label stating "Contains IC: 1691B-BCMD81". This device compliance with RSS-102 RF exposure limits of general public environment for minimum of 20 cm separation between modular and body.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The module can be installed in a fix. In the event that these conditions can not be met (for example certain laptop configurations or co-location with another transmitter), then the FCC authorization is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID can not be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. End Product Labeling This transmitter module is authorized only for use in device where the antenna may be installed such that 20 cm may be maintained between the antenna and users. The final end product must be labeled in a visible area with the following: "Contains FCC ID:Y5OBCM-D81" and "Contains IC: 1691B-BCMD81" Manual Information To the End User The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install or remove this RF module in the user manual of the end product which integrates this module. The end user manual shall include all required regulatory information/warning as show in this manual.
