(Relates to network status) 610 min Please refer to their labels for other data related to the battery and the charger. -4- 1 Getting started 1.1 Installing the SIM Cards and the Battery A SIM card carries useful information, including your mobile phone number, PIN (Personal Identification Number), PUK (PIN Unlocking Key), IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), network information, contacts data, and short messages data. 1.2 Charging the Battery The lithium battery delivered with the mobile phone can be put into use immediately after being unpacked. Your mobile phone can monitor and display the battery state. Normally the remaining energy of the battery is indicated by the battery level icon at the upper right corner of the display screen. When the battery energy is insufficient, the mobile phone prompts "Battery low". If you have set an alert tone, an alert tone will be given off when the battery level is too low. A charging animation appears when the battery is being charged. When the charging is complete, the animation disappears. It is normal of the battery to become hot during the charging period. The battery icon does no longer flicker when the charging process ends. Use only the battery provided by the vendor. Otherwise, damages or even injuries could be caused during the charging. Power off the mobile phone before removing the battery. The charging process lasts a longer time for a new battery or a battery not in use for long. If the battery voltage is too low to enable the mobile phone to be powered on, charge the battery for a longer time. During the charging, ensure the battery is placed in a room temperature environment or in an -5- environment close to room temperature. Immediately stop using the battery if the battery produces odor, overheats, cracks, distorts or has other damage, or if the electrolyte leaks. The battery wears out with use. A longer charging time is required as the battery is put into use for a long time. 1.3 Linking to the Network After the SIM card and the mobile phone are successfully unlocked, the mobile phone automatically searches for an available network. 2 Input method This mobile phone provides multiple input methods, including English input in both upper and lower case, Portuguese and numeric input method. 2.1 To Shift Entry Methods In any mode, tap the icon to switch between input methods. When writing text message/multimedia message, you can tap “Option” to choose the input method as well. 2.2 Numeric and English Input You can input numbers with the numeric input method. Tap a number key to input the corresponding number. 2.3 Inserting a Symbol Tap the icon to enter the Select symbol interface and select a symbol you want. When writing text message/multimedia message, you can tap “Option” to choose “Insert symbol” as well. -6- 3 Using the Menus 3.1 Messaging If the short message memory is full, a blinking message icon appears on the top of the screen. While you enter the messaging interface, you can have the corresponding operation as follows: • Write message: you can write Text/Multimedia message here. • Inbox: The message(s) received is saved. • Drafts: The message(s) not being sent out is saved. • Outbox: The message(s) failed to be sent out that is saved. • Sent Messages: The message(s) being sent out is saved. • Broadcast messages: Cell broadcast is a kind of information service such as weather report, traffic etc that the network operator sends to the GSM users within certain area. • Message Settings: you can set the corresponding parameters about Text message, Multimedia message and Service message. 3.2 Dialer In the interface, input a complete number to make a call, or enter your Phonebook to pick up a contact to make a call. 3.3 Media player You can use it to play music and video. It might be not sufficient space for you to store music in Phone, you’d better insert a micro SD card for your choice. 3.4 Phonebook The mobile phone can store up to 300 telephone numbers. -7- 3.5 Call logs Missed Calls / Dialed Calls/ Received Calls You can view a list of the above. Advanced settings Through this function, you can view Call timers and GPRS counter. 3.6 Image viewer You can view the photos you captured and pictures you stored. 3.7 Settings Dual SIM settings You have four modes for your choice. Dual SIM open Only SIM 1 open Only SIM 2 open Phone Settings Time and date: set the date format, the time format, and detail time of the location. Schedule power on/off: Set the time when the mobile phone will be automatically powered on or off. Language: Select the display language for the mobile phone. International keyboards: Choose multi-language or one language. Widget order Shortcut manager: You can add three functions as shortcuts. Display: Users can access this item to set wallpaper and Screen auto lock. -8- Flight mode: when this function is engaged, it will suspend many of the device's signal transmitting functions – thereby disabling the device's capacity to place or receive calls or text messages– while still permitting use of other functions that do not require signal transmission (e.g., games, built-in camera, MP3 player.) Misc. settings: Set brightness and time of LCD backlight. Network Settings After successfully unlock the SIM card and phone, the phone will automatically search for an available network. After finding a network, the phone went into standby. When the phone is registered on the network, the network operator name is displayed on the screen. Then you can dial or receive calls. Security Settings This function provides you with related settings about safety use SIM1/SIM 2 Security PIN lock: To set the SIM lock, you need to input the PIN. You can set the SIM lock only after inputting the correct PIN. If you set SIM1 lock to On, you need to input the PIN each time you power on the mobile phone. In the case you input a wrong PIN for three consecutive times, you need to input the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK). The PUK is used to unlock and change the locked PIN. To obtain the PUK, contact the network operator. Change PIN/PIN 2: If you need to change the PIN code, please get your original PIN code and then change it. For more information, please contact the network operator. Phone security Phone lock: The function enables you to lock/unlock the phone. Entering password to switch on or off the phone. Password is required when the phone is locked. The password is 4 to 8 digits. -9- Change password: The default password is 1122. Notification settings It allows you to manage the information on the notification bar. Call settings Call ID/Call waiting/ Call divert/ Call barring/Line switching. You can browse a list of above. Advanced settings: Through this function, you can set auto redial, Call time display, Call time reminder, Reject by SMS, Connect notice and Answer mode. Restore Settings Use this function to restore factory settings. Note: The initial phone lock code is 1122. 3.8 Profiles The mobile phone provides multiple user profiles，General, Meeting, Outdoor, Silent and My style. When you insert an earpiece to the mobile phone, the mobile phone automatically enters the Headset mode, and incoming calls will be automatically answered. There is no option for activating the Headset mode on the screen. 3.9 Camcorder Use this function to capture pictures and shoot videos. 3.10 File manager The phone provides a certain space for users to manage files and supports the T-Flash card. You can use the file manager to conveniently manage various directories and files on the phone and the T-Flash card. -10- 3.11 Alarm Five alarm clocks are set but deactivated by default.. For each alarm clock, the ringing date and the ringing time can be set. 3.12 Connectivity Data account: you can add data account. It depends on your SIM network operation. 3.13 Tasks Add a new task, what you need do is to fill in Subject, Priority, Due time, Alarm etc. 3.14 FM Radio The device gives you a convenient to listen to radio. Before using the function, please plug in earphone. 3.15 Calendar You can view the calendar. 3.16 Ebook reader The device supports ebooks in TXT format. 3.17 Calculator This phone contains a mini calculator. You can have a simplified calculation. 3.18 Bluetooth You can use Bluetooth to transfer data and files after you pair your device with other device. -11- 3.19 Web This function enables you to view the internet. Your phone will ask you with existed way. You can start to view only by starting corresponding way. 3.20 Sound recorder This function enables you to record the sound and other audios. 3.21 Notes You can make some quick notes to remind you of the importance data and meetings etc. 3.22 STK Service STK service is the tool kit of SIM card. This phone supports the service function .The specific items are depended by SIM card and network. -12- FCC Regulations: This mobile phone complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. FCC Note: Caution: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user‘s authority to operate the equipment. -13- RF Exposure Information (SAR) This phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States. During SAR testing, this device was set to transmit at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands, and placed in positions that simulate RF exposure in usage against the head with no separation, and near the body with the separation of 15 mm. Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of the device while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is because the phone is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output. The exposure standard for wireless devices employing a unit of measurement is known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg. This device is complied with SAR for general population /uncontrolled exposure limits in ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992 and had been tested in accordance with the measurement methods and procedures specified in IEEE1528. This device has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines when tested with the device directly contacted to the body. SAR compliance for body-worn operation is based on a separation distance of 15 mm between the unit and the human body. Carry this device at least 15 mm away from your body to ensure RF exposure level compliant or lower to the reported level. To support body-worn operation, choose the belt clips or holsters, which do not contain metallic components, to maintain a separation of 15 mm between this device and your body.
