2Special notes The phone adopts dual-card dual-standby single-access design, i.e., two SIM cards inserted into the phone cannot receive and make a voice call at the same time or access the internet simultaneously. When one SIM card is calling or access to the internet, the other SIM card must be OFF; therefore, another SIM card cannot receive a call or access the internet. If someone dials the number of the other SIM card at the same time, he or she will hear “The number you have dialed is not within the service area”, this is caused by the single-access design of the phone rather than the network condition of the network operator. Single access is because the phone adopts a single chip design, which can increase the standby time significantly and reduce its power consumption. Users are recommended to consult the local network operator and subscribe “Missed call prompt” service to avoid the problem of missing calls without a prompt under the above conditions.

6 1 Installation and charging 1.1 Battery removal and installation The phone battery may be removed as per the following procedures:  Open the battery case a little with your fingernail from the bottom notch (as shown in the arrow direction)  Put your fingernail into the gap from the bottom and open from two sides (as per the arrow position shown in the left figure)  Put your fingernail deep into the gap and open the battery case (as per the arrow position shown in the left figure) Take it down when the battery cover is fully removed. Phone installation shall be conducted according to the following steps:  Align the battery metal contact end to the shrapnel of the phone body and insert the fool-proof boss of the battery into the square slot of the phone body, and place the battery in place as per the arrow direction, as shown in Figure 5; Figure 1 Figure 5 Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4
7  Place the battery cover slightly on the phone body and press the cover downward as per the direction shown in Figure 6 until it is fully engaged with the phone body. Warning: Be sure to power off the phone and remove the external power source before battery removal. It is absolutely prohibited to take out the battery directly when the phone is powered on; otherwise, the SIM card and the phone may be damaged. 1.2 Battery charging Plug in the charger and insert the charger interface into the charging jack of the phone, as shown in the left figure: Note: Please carry out the above operations carefully. Do not pull out the charger improperly as it may damage the phone or the charger. •The phone battery must be fully charged before use. • Do not remove the battery or the SIM card during charging. • The phone will be powered off automatically when the battery runs out of power. 8 1.3 SIM card installation and removal The metal contact surface of the SIM card may be easily worn. Remove the SIM card carefully before inserting it into the phone. Power off the phone, remove the battery and other external power source. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot. Ensure that the metal surface of the SIM card faces downwards when inserting it into the SIM card slot, as shown in the left figure. When you need to take out the SIM card, please power off the phone and remove other external power source and battery, take out the SIM card. 1.4 Memory card installation and removal 1.4.1 Memory card installation Install the memory card as per the following procedures: Remove the battery cover and the battery; Push the memory card into the card slot as per the arrow direction shown in the figure below. 1.4.2 Memory card removal Remove the memory card as per the following procedures: Remove the battery cover and the battery; Pull the storage out from the card slot as per the arrow direction shown in the figure below. Note: Please power off the phone before memory card removal. Otherwise, documents transmitted to the phone may be lost or the phone may become abnormal and cannot work normally.
9 1.5 How to power on and off your phone Ensure that the battery has been installed properly. Power on the phone by pressing the [Power key] until the phone screen shows that the phone has been booted. Some SIM cards have PIN codes. Enter your PIN code if it is required. The initial PIN code is 1234 generally. If the SIM card inserted into the phone is effective when it is powered on, the phone will search the available network automatically. Power off the phone by pressing the [Power key] until the screen displays the “Power-OFF” option. 1.6 Safety password You may use the access password described in this section to prevent others from using your SIM card without permission. 1.6.1 PIN code PIN code is used to prevent the subscriber’s SIM card from being used illegally. If your phone has enabled the PIN code protection function, the phone screen will display “Please enter your PIN code” after the phone is powered on. If the PIN code is entered incorrectly for three times continuously, the SIM card will be locked automatically, which can be unlocked only you enter the PUK code correctly. The PIN code is related to the SIM card rather than the phone. It is provided by the network operator. 1.6.2 PUK code The PUK code is used to unlock the SIM card which is locked when the PIN code is entered incorrectly for three times continuously. If the PUK code is entered incorrectly for 10 times in total, the SIM card may fail. The PUK code is provided by the network operator.

123 Phone operations 3.1 Making a call 3.1.1 Make a voice call To make a call, touch the dial key on the main interface to open the call application. You may make a call in the following ways: ① Touch the number keys to enter a telephone number gently and press the dial key to make a voice call. ② Dial a landline telephone: Enter the district number (local telephone excluded) and the landline telephone number, and touch the dial key on the touch screen to make a landline telephone. If the number entered is wrong, please press Clear key to clear. ③ Make an international call: Enter the country code, district number and telephone number (without a space) and press the dial key on the touch screen to make the call. Press the 0 key for seconds if you need to dial “+” when entering the country code. The method of making a call to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is identical to that of making an international call. ④ Call a telephone number or contact from the call log or press the call icon for seconds to select a calling method from the popup menu. 3.1.2 Make an emergency call You can enter the dialing interface to make an emergency call even when the SIM card has not been installed or the SIM card has been locked. 3.1.3 Cancel a call Press the “Hang up” key in the dialing interface to cancel a call.
13 3.1.4 Receive a call Slide the Receive button to receive a call. 3.1.5 Reject an incoming call Slide the Reject button to hang up the phone. Warning: Please ensure the loudspeaker has been turned off before putting the phone to your ear; otherwise, it may hurt your ears. Note: Calls on hold and call conference need the support of the network operator. Please consult the local operator for specific information. 3.2 Call logs Switch to the call records to find the logs of all calls, missed calls, dialed calls and received calls, the telephone number or contact name of all the above can be displayed. You can carry out the following operations about the call function of the phone: ① Call the number or contact. ② Press a name or a number for some seconds, the screen will pop up (more options for the number): Call the number, edit the number before calling, sending a SMS to the number, save the number to the address book (view the contact) or delete the number from call logs. ③To delete all call logs, please press the “Menu” button and touch the “Delete” key gently.
143.3 Address book 3.3.1 Add a contact Press the address book-menu key-add a contact to enter the contact edition interface. You may fill in the contact name, telephone number and address into the related items. 3.3.2 View contacts Enter the contact list interface via the address book. Your contacts will be displayed in an alphabetical rolling list. Press the contact you want to view to find more information about the contact. Press the icon to enter the contacts in your favorite. Light the favorite star in the contact detailed information interface to add the contact into the favorites. 3.3.3 Import/export Press Contacts-Menu key-More-Import/Export, the contacts can be imported to the phone from the SIM card and the SD card. The contacts in the phone may also be exported to the memory card for backup. 3.3.4 Search Press Contacts-Menu key- to enter the Contact Search interface. When the characters you have entered are related to the contact name, the contact name will appear under the search box. Press to view the contact you want to search.
15 3.3.5 Edit contacts Enter the contact detailed information interface and press the menu key to edit contacts. You may change or add contact details. You may also set contact pictures. 3.3.6 Display options Press the “menu” key and contacts to be displayed, you may enable or disable contacts with telephone numbers. You may select the position of the contact to be displayed, any one or more in the phone or the SIM card. 3.3.7 Share contacts Press the menu key and Share by entering the Contact Detailed Information interface. You may share contacts information with your friends via email, Bluetooth and SMS. 3.3.8 Delete contacts Enter the contact interface and touch the menu key-Delete Contacts gently to select contacts to be deleted and touch gently.
16 3.4 SMS and MMS 3.4.1 Write and send out a SMS (MMS) ①Touch gently in the SMS interface to open the SMS writing interface. ② Enter the number of the recipient or contact name in the recipient bar. Beneath of the recipient bar will display the matched contact or phone number when entering a phone number or name. Touch the matched contact or entered phone number gently or continue to enter the desired phone number. ③ If you want to send a SMS to several cell phones, please repeat the above step 2 or enter the contact list to tick the desired contacts. ④ Touch the input content field and start writing a SMS. ⑤ Press the menu key, add a title and attachment. The SMS will be converted into a MMS. ⑥ Touch the Send key gently to send the SMS. Note: If you want to save SMS information as draft for future modification, press the Return key, the information will be saved automatically and “Draft” in red will appear to the right of the corresponding SMS list. 3.4.2 Receive a SMS The phone will ring, vibrate or display the information icon in the status bar when receiving a new SMS, depending on different notice setting. The status bar notice area will display new SMS icon to prompt you that you have received a new SMS. Note 1: To change the notification settings of new SMS, press the menu key under the SMS interface and press the “Setting” key and select “Notification Settings”. Note 2: If you do not want to receive phone paper or MMS under the international roaming state, press the “Setting”
17 key and “Auto Acquisition during roaming” to set. 3.4.3 Read a SMS You can view your SMS by the following two ways: ① Touch the notification area above the status bar (new SMS icon will be displayed here) gently, the notification list will be opened. Touch the new information notification key to open and read a “SMS”. ② Touch the “SMS” and read. 3.4.4 Delete a SMS Press the SMS to be deleted for several seconds. Press the menu key-“Delete”. 3.4.5 Reply a SMS Touch a SMS or SMS conversation to open. Enter your reply content in the “Input Content” Field. Touch the “Send” key gently to reply a SMS. 3.4.6 Delete SMS conversation Press the menu key in the conversation list and select Delete the Conversation. Select the conversation to be deleted and press the Delete key to delete the conversation content. All conversation information can be deleted in this way. 3.4.7 SMS edition setting
18Touch the “Menu” button gently in the SMS Conversation List interface and “Setting” to modify the SMS settings 3.5 Browser 3.5.1 Enable the browser Press the application program button and press the icon or press the icon in the main interface directly to enter the browser interface. 3.5.2 Enter a website Press the URL input box at the top of the screen, enter the URL address of the website and press “Go To” to enter the website. 3.5.3 Exit the browser Press the menu key at the current website interface to pop up the menu and press Exit. 3.6 Settings 3.6.1 Wireless and networks
19 The phone has been configured with WLAN, GPRS/HSPA functions to facilitate you to acquire super-high speed data transmission via a mobile network. If the WLAN connection is available, the phone will use the WLAN connection to access the network automatically. If the WLAN connection is not available, you may use GPRS/HSPA connection. Note: GPRS/HSPA connection function available or not depends on the service provider of the SIM card in the phone. ① Flight mode When enabling the flight mode, all wireless functions of the phone will be disabled, including call functions, data service, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The flight mode can be enabled by the following steps: Press the Settings key-Wireless and Networks-More-Flight Mode. Press icon to enable the flight mode. Press icon to switch to the Flight Mode Off status. ② WLAN Turn on and off WLAN Press the Setting key- Wireless and Networks-WLAN, press the Turn On icon to make the icon become OFF, WLAN is turned on; otherwise, WLAN is turned off. Wait for a period of time after turning on WLAN, the phone will search available WLAN nearby automatically and select a WLAN connection in the WLAN setting menu. The phone can be connected to a WLAN only after a password is entered properly if a WLAN searched have a lock icon. When the phone is connected to a WLAN, icon may appear in the right status bar of the main interface to indicate WLAN signal intensity. The more the white part of the icon is, the stronger Wi-Fi signal intensity is. The phone will keep on connecting itself to the available WLAN within its range automatically as long as WLAN is selected. If several WLAN are available within its range, enable WLAN again after turning it off, the phone will select the one recently used automatically. Add and delete a WLAN
20Press the Settings key-Wireless and Networks-WLAN Settings-Add WLAN Network. Enter the available network SSID and select its safety type, the phone will add a WLAN to the WLAN network list automatically. Press a certain WLAN network in the WLAN network list and select “Not Save the Network” in the popup dialogue box, the WLAN net work can be deleted. ③ Bluetooth You can use Bluetooth wireless technology to establish wireless connection with other compatible phones. The phone can be connected to a compatible Bluetooth headset for communication and music listening. Turn on/off the Bluetooth setting-wireless and networks- Bluetooth, and press the Disable icon to make it Enabled, the status bar will display icon; otherwise, it will be disabled. ④ Access point name Access point name, i.e. APN, is related to the network operator selected. ⑤ Network operator The subscriber may select a network operator for the SIM card manually or automatically. 3.6.2 Phone mode The phone has four modes, standard, silence, vibration and outdoors modes. The user may enable any of them according to his/her demand. The user may also add custom mode by press the menu key under the mode menu to pop up a box, press ADD, enter a name and save. Except for silence and vibration modes, the user may also adjust the volume, change the phone ringtone and notification ringtone under other modes. Set vibration and keypad tone, select keypad tone, screen lock warning tone, touch function enabling/disabling. 3.6.3 Display You can adjust the phone brightness as required. You may enable/disable the “Auto-Rotate Screen” function to set animation and screen timeout functions. 3.6.4 Safety
21 Enter the setting-safety interface to set up screen lock and SIM card lock, enable/disable password visible function, equipment management and credential storage. 3.6.5 Application Enter the menu to enable/disable installation of applications from unknown sources, manage applications and view operating services, storage space use conditions and power level use conditions, set application development options. 3.6.6 Backup and reset To restore the factory setting, all data in the phone will be cleared and the default factory setting will be restored. Note: The above step will delete all data in the phone! 3.6.7 Storage Check the memory card capacity and available space, SD card unloading, installation and formatting (the SD card can be formatted after being unloaded) and memory available space of the phone. 3.6.8 Date and time Set the format of date and time, zone and date or time. 3.6.9 About cell phone
22Inspect the phone status such as status information, power use condition and legal information. The user may also inspect phone legal information, software and hardware version information. 4 Application programs 4.1 Calculator The phone supports basic mathematics calculations, it also supports trigonometric functions, exponents and logarithm calculation. Touch the calculator icon gently to enter the calculator interface. Use the calculator button on the screen to enter numbers and operators. 4.2 Calendar Open the calendar: Touch the application program button-Calendar gently. Create new activities: Press the menu key in the calendar interface and select Create New Activities. Edit the calendar: Select a calendar date in the calendar interface to enter the calendar event interface, view the event interface and press to edit the calendar. Delete activities View a certain activity and press the menu key in the active information interface and press “Delete Activities” to delete the activities. If you have set event prompting, the notice area of the status bar will display the icon of the forthcoming event and prompt you with a ring that an event will happen soon. View, remove or postpone the prompt:
23 1. Touch the notice area of the status bar gently to open the notice menu. 2. Touch the forthcoming event name to display the event gently. 3. Touch “All postponed” to postpone all event prompt behind the time defaulted by the calendar; touch “All closed” to close all event prompt. 4.3 Alarm clock Add an alarm clock Select “Set the Alarm Clock” under the Clock interface to enter the Alarm Clock Setting interface to set the alarm clock time, repetition interval, ring tone, vibration and label. If the repetition interval is not set, the alarm clock will ring only once. 1. Enable/disable an alarm clock 2. If you have set one or several alarm clocks, press the alarm clock icon in the alarm list interface to disable/enable the alarm clock. You may also press “Enable an Alarm Clock” to enable/disable the alarm clock in the Alarm Edition interface. Change alarm clock settings If you have set one or several alarm clocks. Select alarm clocks already set, you may change alarm clock settings such as the alarm clock volume, alarm clock delay time etc Clock setting Press the menu key in the Clock List interface to enter the Clock Setting interface: Set the alarm clock mode: Silence or not, volume, interval and the role of the volume key during ringing.
244.4 Radio The phone also provides radio function. You can listen to a radio after inserting the headset into the proper jack and enter the FM interface. It supports automatic channel searching and manual channel tuning. Enter the FM channel list and press the menu key to select Auto Search or press the left and right arrows in the FM interface for manual tuning. 4.5 Gallery Enable the gallery Touch the application program key-Gallery gently. The system will search all picture files in the memory card and create folder thumbnails automatically when the gallery menu is enabled for the first time. Picture view and processing Touch the application program key-Gallery-Folder Thumbnail-Press pictures to be viewed to enter the View interface. View the interface operation View the interface operation picture, double-press the picture to zoom in/out, slide to switch pictures and press the menu key-Play Slides to play all pictures by slide. 4.6 Camera Enable the camera Touch the application program key-camera to enable the camera. Switch between photo and video mode
25 1. Touch the Shot key of the screen gently to take photos. 2. If you want to take a video, you may touch gently, the phone will switch to the video mode; touch again gently, it will switch to the photo mode. Video or photo viewing Press the photo or video preview box in the lower right corner after taking photos or videos, the phone will enter the photo or video preview interface. Note: The phone will enter camera mode when the Power key and the Volume + key are pressed simultaneously. Press the volume + key, and the phone is ready to take photos. 4.7 Music Copy music files into the memory card: Connect the phone to a PC via a Shielded USB line to copy music files into the memory card directly; or place the memory card back into the phone after copying music files into it via a reader. Note: The music application program only plays the audio files in your memory card. Ensure that desired audio files have been copied into your memory card before they are played. Open the music Touch the application program key-Music gently. Media library You can download albums and songs of different styles and formats according to your own hobby and the system will sort and display songs automatically according to artist name, albums and songs for convenient searching. Play list Display the detailed information of songs you have downloaded, including song name, time, album and performer information.
264.8 Bluetooth distance sensing device Signal distance and intensity can be tested via a Bluetooth distance sensing device after two devices are paired. 4.9 Wireless input device Search an wireless input device via a Bluetooth to match with the phone. 5 Common symptoms Refer to the following terms and conditions in case of any problem occurring during phone use. If such problem still exists, please contact the dealers or service agents designated by Beijing Tianyu Langtong Communication Equipment Co., LTD. ■The screen will display: enter the PIN code: Enter the PIN code supplied with the SIM card. If you don’t know the code, please contact the network service provider immediately. ■The screen will display: Enter the PUK code: Your SIM card will be locked after entering wrong PIN code for three times. You have to enter your PUK code correctly if you want to unlock, please contact the network service provider immediately. ■The screen will display: Insert your SIM card: Confirm that the SIM card is installed properly. Inspect whether the SIM card works normally as it may have defects or fail. If so, please ask the network service provider to solve. ■ The phone displays it is not within the service area or network failure:
27 Inspect the signal intensity indicator. If no network is available, you may be in a basement or the network blind spots of a building; please move to other areas to receive signals or a place covered by network signals. You can ask your network service provider to provide the network service range. ■ Poor voice quality, echoing or large noise which making communication difficult: Hang up the phone and redial the telephone number again, the network service provider may switch you to another line with better voice quality. ■The standby time of the phone becomes short: The standby time of the phone becomes short because the phone keeps on searching signals due to weak wireless signals. If you don’t want to receive calls, please power off your phone temporarily or the battery has been used for a long time, nearly approaching the service life of the battery. Please replace with a new one. ■The phone cannot be powered on: Inspect the power level of the battery or charge the battery. Turn on the phone to inspect during charging. The phone may not be powered on if it has been idle for a long time due to battery over-discharge. The phone can be powered on only after the power level of the battery is restored. ■SMS cannot be sent out: Inspect your service center number option to view whether you have set a SMS center number or number error. You may have not opened the SMS service or the SMS service or the object the SMS is sent to is invalid or your local network service provider does not support this service (consult your local network operator for details) ■The phone cannot be charged: There are the following three possibilities: first, the phone charger cannot work normally, please contact your local service agent or dealer designated by Lenovo; second, the environmental temperature is not proper. Please change the charging environment; third, the power contact is poor. Please inspect the charger plug.
28 ■ Data cannot be added into the address book: The capacity of the address book is full, please delete some useless items. ■ Some functions cannot be selected: The phone has not opened the service or the local network service provider does not support this service. Please contact the service agent, dealer or network service provider designated by Lenovo. 6 Safety precautions  Considerations when carrying the phone with you Be sure to obey existing rules and regulations at any place. Be sure to power off the cell phone at places where cell phones are not allowed to be used or when cell phone application may cause interference or danger. This phone meets the requirements of the RF radiation specification whether it is near the normal operation position of the ear or the position 2.5cm away from human body. If you carry your phone with a phone case or a belt case, please ensure that such accessories do not have metal parts and the distance between the phone and human body is 2.5cm at least.  RF energy leakage Your phone is a low-power wireless transmitter and receiver, which will receive and send wireless signals intermittently after it is powered on. The network system will control the transmission power of the phone. This phone meets the requirements of your country on RF energy leakage.  RF interference compatibility Your phone may have RF interference on electric equipments without proper screening design or without RF compatibility configuration.  Public spaces
29 Please power off the phone at places where phones are required to be powered off by a notice, including medical locations such as hospitals and rest homes etc as such locations may use equipment that is sensitive to external RF signals.  Aircraft safety regulations Please turn off your phone and take off the battery or disable its wireless functions on board or near an aircraft. It is illegal to use a mobile phone on an aircraft as it may be dangerous for aircraft operations or disturb the wireless network of the aircraft. Violators may be prosecuted or be subject to double punishment.  Pacemaker Please do not place the phone into your coat pocket when it is powered on if you use a cardiac pacemaker. The distance between the phone and the pacemaker shall be more than 15cm. Please use the phone at the other side of the pacemaker. Please power off the phone or disable its wireless functions.  Hearing aid The phone may interfere with some hearing aids. Consult the hearing aid manufacturer for a solution in case of any interference.  Other medical equipments If you use other personal medical equipments additionally, please consult their manufacturers to confirm whether they can fully screen RF signals around them. You can also consult the doctor for related information.
30Considerations for phone use 1. The phone is an IP67 waterproof cell phone, which can meet the waterproof and dust proof requirements of a normal living environment. Do not remove the battery cover frequently when unnecessary, cover the headset soft plug, the USB soft plug and battery cover tightly to ensure its waterproof and dustproof properties. 2. Do not apply headset function in the water. 3. Touch screen function of the phone is not available when it is in water. Please use key combination if a phone really needs to be taken in water (refer to the camera description for details). 4. Never open the headset cover, the UCB cover and the battery cover immediately after the phone is taken out from water. Place the phone screen upwards, remove the water from the phone surface and keep it for 10 minutes, the phone can be used normally again. Refer to the following procedures if any of the above covers needs to be opened: A. Place the phone screen upwards, remove the water from the surface and keep the phone for 20 minutes; B. Open the battery cover and cleanse residual water inside it; C. Open the headset cover and the USB cover, and cleanse the residual water inside it; D. Reinstall the headset cover, the USB cover and the battery cover and the phone can continue to be used normally. Please use the battery in a normal indoor environment (temperature range: -20°C~35°C, RH range: 65±20%) 2.
