BTM-008/V2Bluetooth Headset User Guide
BTM-008/V2 Bluetooth Headset is quite light; weighing just about 10g .It has both headset and hands –free profiles for more
functions, and is compatible with most Bluetooth wireless technology mobile phones.
Read this user’s guide carefully before you start using the headset.

Multi-Functions Button :Switches the headset on/off, answers/ends a call, and is used for voice dialing
Volume Up Button: Increases the speaker volume, pairs the headset with a device.
Volume Down Button: Decreases the speaker volume, last number redial.
LED indicator: displays the status of the headset and incoming call.
Microphone: picks up external audio.
Earpiece : Holds the headset in the ear
Charging port :charges the battery
Wearing the headset
BTM-008/V2 Bluetooth headset can be worn either on the right or left ear
The earpiece is adjustable, and the 90-degree, rotatable design ensures a comfortable fit in your ear. To put on the headset,
please follow the instruction as blow:
1. Directly put the earpiece into your outer ear canal
Adjust the headset to fit your ear
The microphone should be positioned towards to your mouth

The cloth clip supplied with the headset provides additional comfort and better fitting. To attach the cloth clip :
Hold the headset firmly
Insert the cloth clip between the headset and earpiece
The cloth clip is attached to the ready –to-wear headset
You can clip the headset on your clothes by using the cloth clip when the headset is not in use

Please attach the cloth clip to the headset first before the ear hook if you want to use them together (same procedure for
detachment)
Battery charging

Turn off the headset.
Connect the charger to the main power and plug the adaptor to the charging socket of the headset.
During charging, the LED will turn red .When the battery is fully charged, the LED will be off.
Disconnect the charger from the main power and the headset.
Charging Time
The headset is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery .For the first time of use, please charge the battery for 14 hours.
Thereafter, the battery charging time is normally within 3 hours .After the battery is fully charged ,press the multifunction
button for 2-3seconds to turn on the headset .Please refer to the next page of “Turning on and off the headset” for details.
Talk and Standby Time
The fully charged battery can allow about 6 hours talk time and about 200 hours standby time.
Battery Low
When the battery becomes low ,the LED flashes red and the headset emits“beep ,beep”sound every 2 minutes . Please recharge
the battery as described above.
Turning on and off the headset
Turning on the headset
Press and hold the multifunction button for 2-3 seconds until 2 short beeps are heard .The LED will flash blue.
Remarks: Press the multifunction button again each time you turn on the headset to reactivate pairing so that the
connection between the headset and the mobile phone is resumed.
Turning off the headset
Press and hold the multi-function button until the LED flashes from blue to red. Then release the multifunction button
immediately .The headset will be off when the LED stops flashing.
Pairing the headset with a Bluetooth mobile phone
Before using the headset for the first time, the headset must be paired up with a Bluetooth mobile phone.
1. Place the headset and the mobile phone within 1m apart where they are easily viewable.
2. Ensure the headset is at standby mode.
3. Press and hold the VOL+ key until the LED flashes blue and red alternatively.
4. Follow the manual of the mobile phone to activate your mobile phone’s Bluetooth function.
5. Search from the mobile phone for the headset you are using.
6. Enter the password“0000”to the mobile phone .When the pairing is complete, the headset LED will flash blue rapidly .
7. Return to the mobile phone’s main menu. A headset icon will be shown on the screen for certain mobile phone models.
Remark: If the pairing cannot be completed within 1 minute while the pairing mode is activated, the headset will return
to standby mode. Please pair up the headset and the mobile phone again.
Using your headset
Answering a call
Wait for the headset to ring, then press the multi-function button to accept the call or answer the call via your mobile phone in
the normal way.
Remark: The LED will flash red three times continuously whenever receiving a call.
Ending a call
Press the multifunction button to end your call or end the call via mobile phone.
Dialing from your mobile phone
Simply make calls on your mobile phone in the normal way.
Voice Dialing from your headset
If the mobile is equipped with the voice dialing function, press the VOL- button about 2 seconds and when you hear a beep,
say the voice tag.
Remark: Please make sure to record voice tag into the mobile phone first before using voice dialing function.
Last number redialing
Briefly press the multi-function button twice, you will hear a beep .The last number will be redialed after you hear two beeps
again.
Remark: The voice dialing and last number redialing functions are only applicable to mobile phone with Bluetooth
handsfree profile.
Functionality varies depending on the mobile phone model you have.
Please refer to your mobile phone user guide for additional information.
Adjusting the volume
Press the VOL+ or VOL- repeatedly until the desired volume level is reached.
Adjust the earphone volume
To increase or decrease the headset volume during a call, use the volume keys on your headset.
Mute or unmute the microphone
To mute or unmute the microphone during a call, press VOL+ and VOL - button. Release the button after "Beep". Mute
microphone on.
Press VOL+ or VOL- button to unmute the microphone.
Clear the settings
If you want to clear all the settings from the headset. press the VOL+ and VOL- button over 4 seconds, you will see the red and
green indicator lights alternate for several seconds and headset beeps twice, the headset will shut up then , all setting are
cleared.
Call waiting
If another party calls while you are having a conversation, press the multi-function and VOL – buttons for 2 seconds to hold
the first call and the second call can be answered. Press the multi-function button twice to end all calls.
Use the headset with several phones
You can pair the headset with up to eight phones but connect it to only one phone at a time
The phone that was first paired with the headset is the default phone.
If the headset is switched on with 10 meters (30 feet) of several paired phones, the headset tries to connect to the last used
phone. If the headset cannot connect to the last used phone, the headset tries to connect to the default phone. If the headset
cannot connect to this phone either, one of the other six paired phones can be connected to the headset. To make the
connection, see the user guide of your phone.
Troubleshooting
If you are unable to connect your headset and mobile phone, please try the following:
*Ensure the headset is turned on and is properly charged.
*Ensure the headset is paired with your mobile phone.
*Ensure the mobile phone’s Bluetooth feature is activated. Please refer to your mobile phone user guide for specific
instruction.
*Ensure the headset is within a maximum of 15m from your mobile phone(s) and there are no obstructions, such as walls or
other electronic devices in between.
If the above steps can not solve your problem, Please recharge the headset and remove your mobile phone battery for a while.
Safety information
*Check local laws regarding use of a mobile phone and headset while driving .If you use the headset while driving, ensure
your attention and focus remains on your responsibility of driving safely.
*Never allow children to play with the headset .Small parts may be a choking hazard.
*Observe all signs that require an electrical device of RF radio product to be switched off in designated areas .These could
include hospitals, blasting areas and potentially explosive atmospheres.
*Turn off your headset prior to boarding an aircraft .Do not use your headset in an aircraft.
*Never mount or store your headset over any bag deployment area as serious injury may result when an air bag deploys.
*Do not open or mutilate the built-in battery.
Care and maintenance
Headset
*Consider turning your headset off before placing it in your pocket or bag .If the multifunction button is accidentally depressed,
your mobile phone may place an unintended call.
*Do not expose the headset to liquid, moisture or humidity as it is not waterproof.
*Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the headset.
*Do not expose the headset to extremely high or low temperatures.
*Do not dispose of the headset in a fire as it will result in an explosion.
*Do not expose your headset to contact with sharp objects as this will cause scratches and damage.
*Do not stick anything inside the headset as this may damage internal components.
*Do not attempt to disassemble the headset as it does not contain serviceable components.
*If you do not use the headset for long periods, be sure to store it in a dry place free from extreme temperatures and dust.
Built-in battery
*Do not attempt to replace the headset’s battery yourself as it is in-built and is not changeable.
*Charge the battery in accordance with the instruction supplied with this user guide.
Charging
*Must use the manufacturer supplied charger when charging the headset.
*Do not disassemble the charger as it may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect reassembly can cause
electric shock when the headset is subsequently used.
*Do not use the charger outdoors or in damp areas.
*Only charge the headset’s battery in accordance with the instructions of this user guide.
*Avoid charging the headset in extremely high or low temperatures.
