Installing the Fax Modem Card
You Wlll be installing the innuern in the Type 1] in m PCMCIA slot in
your eornputer. Lfynu are havlng trouble wilh locating this slot mfer
to your winputer user's manual or ennsult the manufacturer of ynur
computer
Gently slide the PC and into the PCMCIA slot. Make sure the card is
firmly seated in the socket and you are ready to setup and mswl] your
cummunicaliun sollware, as detailed in the following section.
To Install in Windows 95
Windows 95 enmes wrth most orthe drivers neuessary to access your
fax modem Just follow these steps:
1. Sum the cumpmcr
2. Insert the fax modem curd mlo a PC Card slot in your computer.
3 Wmdaws will dlsplay the New Hardwnre Fuund dialog box
Select Lhe “Driver frnm disk pruvldcd by hurdwtre
manufacturer" and cllck OK If you do not see the above
selection, Simply click Nexl to continue. (Fm Windows 95
Relmse 2.0 user. Insert the driver diskette into drive A. and click
Finish to complete the lnsmllatinn process. )

Windows NT comes with most or the drivers necessary to mss your
fax mudem. Just follow these steps.
1.
Insert the fax modem card into a PC Card slut in your Computer

Double cllizk on the “Central Panel/Modems“, select Lht,‘ “Don’t
delect my mndem; 1 will selcrl it from a Hat“ Up‘im’l and press
the “Next” butmn.
Click the “Have Disk” button from “Install New Modern"
window and press the “Next” humm
Windows then asks you to specify where the driver for the modem
is located. [marl the fax modem driver diskette mto your floppy
drive, select Drive “AA” and click OR

press the “Next" buttnn.

“Next" button,

with its own documentation This software Wlll enable you to use your
modem in both data and fax modes.
