Quick start guide WM 6355 W WM 6155 W This guide should be used in conjunction with the more detailed information in the main instruction book. ATTENTION ! This product has been fully tested using water and may still be wet. 1 Open the door Make sure power button is off. 1 Pull the door handle. 2 Place the fabrics uniformly inside the machine. Make sure that there is no clothing obstructing the door. 3 Close the door by pushing lightly. If the door does not close completely, the machine will not start. This is a safety precaution. The door is locked until the end of the washing programme and it cannot be opened for about 2 minutes following the end of the programme. 2 Operation 1 Sort the laundry into groups with the same wash requirements. 2 Place laundry in the machine and gently close the door. 3 Add detergent/conditioner to the appropriate compartments - see detergent manufacturer’s instructions. • Fill the fabric softener to the marking. Do not overfill above the max mark as any excess amount will mix into the wash water and you will have to re-fill the compartment. Concentrated softener may clogg the siphon, in this case add some water to the softener liquid. 3 Switch on Attention! Before using the machine check the following: • Have you closed the front door? • Is the tap open? • Is the drain hose placed and secured properly? • Is power connected? • Ensuring maximum load is not exceeded (see page 13) When you press the On/Off button, your machine is ready to select the desired programme. To switch the machine off, repress the On/Off button. Washing can only be started when the “Start/Pause/Cancel” button is pressed. Program operation. During the machine’s operation, the indicator lights on the programme follower will be on accordingly. If fabric softener is added in the softener compartment, it will be used in the last rinse cycle. 4 Select a programme Select the programme after referring to the programme descriptions and table below. Warning! Always switch on the machine before selecting your wash programme. Turn the programme selection knob to select the desired programme with washing temperature and spin speed at the same time. C The auxiliary functions in the table may differ according to the model of your machine. C Programme duration will be displayed on the screen of your machine according to your selection. 5 Optional wash features Pre-wash A pre-wash is only worthwhile for heavily soiled laundry. Without pre-wash you save energy, water, detergent and time. C Pre-wash without detergent is recommended for lace and curtains. Quick Wash This function can be used for “Cottons” and “Synthetics” Programmes. It decreases the washing times for lightly soiled laundries and also the number of rinsing steps. • Extra Rinse With this function, you can increase the number of current rinsing steps. Thus, sensitive skins’ risk of being affected by the remainder detergent on the clothes will be decreased. Beko plc.
