Our Beloo CDH—200 407Channel Cordless headset Telephone gives you communicau'on with
both permbflity and convenience. It comes in two parts, a headset and a base,
The phone's headset connects to a compact cordless remote keypad, so you can make calls”
away from its base The headset lets you keep your hands free to do other things such as.

Your Belca CDH-200 phone includes these features :
Advmclzd Supper CCT Circuitry , provides sound clarity comparable to that of a corded
phone.
Security Access-Protection Code — prevens other cordless phone users from using your
phone line while the remote keypad is off the cradle.
10—Number Memory Dialing - lets you store 10 numbers in memory for easy dialing
Auto Scan - automatically selects a clear channel when you pick up the phone You can also
manually switch to another channel with the touch of ’CHANNEL' button.
Radial - lets you redial the last number dialed, with the touch of a button.
Privacy - prevents the person on the other end of the phone line from hearing you as you
you talk to someone else in the room,
Flash - sends an electronic switch hook signal for use with special phone services such as
Call Waiting.
ToucheTone or PulsetRotary) Dialing - lets you use your phone wiflr either type of

This phone has been tested and found to comply with all applicable UL and FCC standards.
Important Note : Cordllss phones such as this one require AC power to operate. When the
AC power is off, you cannot fial out or rocéve incoming calls using your CDH—200.
To be safe, you should also have a phone that does not need AC power to operate (not a
cordless phone) so you can still make and receive calls if there is an AC power failme,

READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION
We have designed your phone to‘conform to federal regulations, and you can connect it to
most telephone lines. However, each device that you connect to the phone line draws power
from the phone line. We refer to this power draw as the device's ringer equivaluation number,
or REN. the REN is on the bottom of the base.
If you are using more than one phone or other device on the line, add up all the RENs.
If the total is more than five, your phones might no ring in rural areas, a total REN of
three might impair ringer operation. If ringer operation is impaired, remove a device from
the the line.

INSTALLATION
SELECTING A LOCATION
You can place the phone's base on a desktop. shelf, or mble, Select a lmafion that is:
* near an AC outlet
a new a telephone line jack
x out of the way of normal activities
. away from electrical machinery, electrical appliances, metal walls. filling cabinets, Wireless
intercomes. security alarms, and mom monitors
The base’s location affects the phone's range. If you have a choice of several locafions, try
eam to see which provides the best performance
Your telephone connects directly to a modular telephone line lack If your telephone Wiring
does not have a modular jack, you can update the wiring yourself or have the telephone
company update it for you. (The USOC number of the jack to be installed is RIlIC. )
Caution : The Supplied adapter is a Class 2 120V AC/QV DC adapter that delivers at least
200 nfiliamps with its center (in set to positive. Its plug correctly fits the phone’s DC 9V
jack. Using an adapter that does not meet these remdrements, could damage the phone or
the adapter.
CONNECTING THE PHONE & HEADSET
After you select a location for the phone’s base, follow these steps to connect it to AC
power, to the base and to the phone line.
L Insert the stereo plug from the headset cord into the headphone jack on the top of the
remote keypad.
2. Plug one end of the supplied modular cord in the Te]. Line jack m the back of the base. ,
3. Plug the modular card's other end into a modular phone line jack
4 Plug the supmied AC adapter's barre! plug into the DC QV jack on the back of the base.
5. Plug the adapter into a smdard Ac outlet the CHARGE indicator lights when the keypad
is on the base.

CONNECTING AND CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
The CDH~200 comes with a rechargeable Metal Hydrogen 3.6V/600mA battery pack in the
remote keypad. You must connect and then charge the battery pack for at least 15 hours
before you use it the first time.
1 Push the top of the batta- cover slightly and move up to upper side. men remove the

2. Slide the battery book’s connector onto the connector pins inside the battery cmnpart-
ment and then replace the cover

to fully recharge.
* If battery pOWEr is low, the headset is not in use: the LOW BATT. indicator flashes.

» If the IN USE/CHARGE indicator does not fight when you place the remote keypad on
fire base cradle. be sure the battery pack and AC adapter are correctly and securely
(connected. Also, check the charging contacts on the remote keypad and base.
If the connects are dirty or Danished, clean them with a pencil eraser.
REPLACING THE BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack does not hold a charge for more than 2 hours aftm' an overnight charge,

Put the headset holder into the slot on the back of the base and slide it into place.
ADJUSTING THE HEADSET

SETTING THE DIAL MODE
SetTONE—PULSE on the rear of the base for the type of service you have. If you are not
sure which type you have, do this simple test after charging the battery,

3. Press any number other than 0.
If the dial tone stops, you have touch-tone service. Leave TONEePULSE set to TONE.

MAKING AND RECEIVING CALLS

Storing a Number in Memory

Follow these steps to dial a stored number.
