This product is designed to power, charge, and transmit audio from your iPod to your car stereo. Please review this User Manual carefully, so thatyou can be sure you’ll get the most from your TuneCast Auto, virtually anywhere you go. FCC Warning Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. End users must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This transmitter must not be co-Iocated or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. FCC Statement: This device complies with Part 15 o the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference. and (2) this device must accept any interference received. including interference that may cause undesired operation. Setup Instructions 1. Open the battery cover on your TuneCast II. Install the included AAA batteries and replace the battery cover. 2. Plug the 3.5mm connector into your iPod player or other portable music device. 3. TheAUTO ON feature will power on theTuneCast II when the unitdetects an inputsignal. You can also press and hold both? and & buttons simultaneously for two seconds to turn on the unit. To turn off the unit press and hold both buttons simultaneously again for twoseconds Note: To conserve power, the TuneCast II will automatically turn off when there is no input audio signal for 60 seconds +/- 10 seconds. 4. Tune your car or homestereofrequency toa channel with a weak broadcastsignal. The ideal channel is one that is not broadcasting a radio program, oris doing soweakly. 5. Press the + or 0 button on the TuneCast II to selectthetransmission frequency chosen in step 4, on your car or home stereo,f0r broadcast, Press and hold either buttonforfast—forward or backward tuning. 6. To memorize a specific frequency (four stations maximum) for easy selection: a, Selectthe desired frequencyusing thee and + buttons. b. Press and hold ”mem" (memory) button for two seconds.The icon M'l will blink,- then release it. c, Press the 0 and b button to select one of thememoryslots M1, M2, M3, or M4 for storage. The active memory slot icon will blink. d. Press the ”menf' button again to store the frequency and return to normal operation mode. e. In operation mode, pressing the ”mem” button will toggle among the four memory slots to retrieve the memorized frequency. Note: When there is no key press for a duration of 10 seconds, theTuneCastll will return from memory mode to operation mode. 7. AdjustthevolumeonyourMPSplayerorotheraudiosourcetoamedlumlevel, s. Plug the other end of the cable into the DC porton the Mobile Power Cord (F8V7067—APL). NotezThis cablewill NOTcharge theTuneCast II. Itonlyprovides power in order to preserve batterylifewhile in the car. For Best Results: ‘ Try to keep the TuneCast II close to the antenna of your FM radio. While the TuneCast I! often works at distances of 30feetor more, a distance of l 0 feet or less will minimize interference and provide the strongest signal. ' Keepfresh batteries in the TuneCast II. When thebatteries become very low, the transmission strength will weaken. *Due to characteristics of FM transmission, you will experience better sound quality by adjusting the volume on your home or car stereo when necessary, and by leaving your iPod or other portable music player volume at a medium level.
