TuneStage™ for iPod®
Introduction
Designed to let you roam and play your tunes from virtually anywhere in your home, TuneStage from Belkin delivers
the pristine, CD-quality sound that iPod users desire. Using
Bluetooth
™ technology, TuneStage transmits from up to
33 feet away from your stereo, free of the barriers that limit traditional remotes—such as walls, ceilings, or windows.
Please review this User Manual carefully so that you can be sure to get the most from your TuneStage.

Operating Instructions
STEP 1 - TuneStage Receiver Setup
1.
Ensure that your stereo system is powered off.
2.
Plug the TuneStage Receiver into your home stereo
system either by using the included stereo cable or
a standard 3.5mm male/3.5mm male audio cable.
Plug the AC power adapter (included) into both the
Receiver and AC outlet and press the power button.
The blue Status LED on the front will begin blinking.
3.
Power on your home stereo system and select the
audio channel input that the TuneStage Receiver is
connected to.
Wall-Mounting the TuneStage Receiver
1.
Make sure the antenna is pointed upward.
2.
You can hang the TuneStage Receiver on a wall using
two screws (not included).
3.
The cables should run through the channel on the
bottom of the TuneStage Receiver, so they are held
securely to the wall.

STEP 2 - TuneStage Transmitter Setup
1.
Power on your iPod. Then, plug the TuneStage
Transmitter into the remote/headphone
connector.
Press “PLAY” on the iPod.
The TuneStage Transmitter will power on
automatically. The Transmitter’s blue Status
LED should be blinking rapidly.
2.
The TuneStage Transmitter and Receiver will
pair with each other automatically. When the
connection has been made, the blue light on the
TuneStage Receiver will stop flashing and stay on
solid. The light on the Transmitter will now
flash slowly.
3.
Play a tune from the iPod. Set the volume of the
iPod to a medium level, and adjust the volume of
your stereo system’s speakers as desired.

Do not move the Transmitter back and
forth to avoid damage to the receptacle
For Best Results
• Try to keep the TuneStage Transmitter close to your home stereo system. While the Transmitter often
works at distances of 33 feet or more, a distance of 10 feet or less will minimize interference and
maximize performance.
• Power on the TuneStage Receiver first and then plug the Transmitter into the iPod to begin the
pairing process.
• Adjust the volume on the iPod to a medium level and increase the volume on the stereo to a desired
listening level.
•
Bluetooth
devices are known to have interference from devices operating in the same RF frequency
(2.4GHz). However, using AFH (Adaptive Frequency Hopping), the interference with 802.11b/g has been
minimized. Some interference (within a 6 1⁄2-foot range) with microwave ovens and 2.4GHz cordless
phones may be present.

Troubleshooting
Transmitter is not powering on when plugged into the iPod.
Remove the Transmitter and reinstall into the top of your iPod.
Ensure your iPod is charged and powered on.
Receiver is not powering on.
Ensure that the Receiver power switch is in the ON position. Ensure that the AC power adapter is connected
into a powered wall socket and that the plug is properly inserted into the TuneStage Receiver’s power jack.
After connecting the Transmitter and Receiver, there is no sound.
• Select a song on the iPod and press “PLAY”.
• Make sure the audio cable is correctly plugged into the back of the TuneStage Receiver as well as to the
back of the stereo system.
• Ensure the stereo system is set to the correct input channel.
• Make sure the iPod and stereo receiver are powered on.
• Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 from the instructions (page 3 and 4).

Troubleshooting
There are multiple
Bluetooth
transmitters or receivers in the same room or range, and they may be
conflicting.
Belkin does not guarantee inter-compatibility with other
Bluetooth
devices; however, the TuneStage Transmitter
and Receiver are 100% compatible with each other. Should there be additional
Bluetooth
devices in the same
range, please follow these instructions:
There is more than one
Bluetooth
receiver (e.g., TuneStage Receiver and
Bluetooth
headphones) in the
same room or range.
The TuneStage Transmitter will pair with the
Bluetooth
receiver that was turned on first or is the closest in
proximity to the Transmitter. If you are paired with the incorrect receiver, turn off the power on the receiver that
will not be used. Remove and reconnect the TuneStage Transmitter to the iPod.
There is more than one
Bluetooth
transmitter (e.g., TuneStage Transmitter,
Bluetooth
USB dongle) in the
same room or range.
The TuneStage Receiver will pair with the closest
Bluetooth
transmitter. Turn off or remove the transmitter that
will not be used. Remove and reconnect the TuneStage Transmitter to the iPod or remove and reconnect the
USB dongle to the computer.
