Air Line Sizes For Relay and Brake
Proportioning Valves

The following chart can be used as a general recommendation for line sizes to be used when
retrofitting or changing over to Bendix relay valves (R-12/14) and brake proportioning (BP-R1)
valves on a typical tractor or straight truck. Deviation from these recommendations should be
reviewed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or Bendix H.V.S.G. since vehicle and
component performance can be affected by line sizes.
