Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a soft cloth to clean the monitor housing and a tape to stick dust and fingerprints on the screen panel. Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. They must not be blocked or covered. This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register, or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided. This product should be operated from the type of power indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your dealer or local power company. Make sure that the system power is turned off. 2. Plug the signal cable to the signal connector at the rear of PC. 3, Plug the end of power cord to the monitor. 4. Rotate the fly wheel upward; the Contrst hot-key OSD will pop up. 2. Rotate the fly wheel upward to increase the contrast value or downward to decrease the contrast value. 3. Press the fly wheel to save the setting you have made. Brightness hot-key mode 1. Rotate the fly wheel downward; the Brightness hot-key OSD will pop up 2. Rotate the fly wheel upward to increase the brightness value or downward to decrease the brightness value. 3. Press the fly wheel to save the setting you have made. Using the Monitor % 2 E ’ its 3 E Main Menu Modes Grouped by functions, the OSD offers 6 major functions in main menu for making adjustments: Luminance, Geometry, Color Adjustment, Recall, Miscellaneous and Return, 1, Press the fly wheel, the main menu will pop up. 2. Rotate the fly wheel downward or upward to locate the function you desire to change. After selecting the function, press the fly wheel to go into the sub-menu. 3. Rotate the fly wheel downward or upward to locate the function item, then press the fly wheel and rotate the wheel again to make the adjustment. Rotate the wheel downward will increase the value and upward decrease the value. 4. Press the fly wheel to save the adjustment you have made. The OSD will go back to last menu. 5. Can't find Acer FP855 on the Windows 95® or Windows ”(9 monitor lists. You need to update the Windows 933) or Windows 98® setup information for your Aoer FP855. You can download the updated file from the web site (http://www,acerperipheraIs.oom.MIDroducts/md/service/index.htm). There is no picture on the screen. Check: Power saving mode. Press any key or move the mouse to deactivate the mode. Signal cable connector pins. If there are bent or missing pins, consult your place of purchase. The picture is unstable. Make sure that the volume control at the rear of monitor base is set to proper volume. The microphone doesn’t work. Check - Audio cable, See if the audio cable is connected to PC's lILINE—IN" port and monitor's microphone port. There is noise from speakers when using the microphone. . Set microphone item of volume control function in Windows 95® or Windows 98® to ”MUTE". Please adjust as following steps: 1. Double click the speaker icon in Windows 95® or 98® desktop. 2. In the volume control window set the microphone item to "MUTE". i-kay does not function properly and "unsupported" message shows. - in some non-fuII-screen patterns, the i-key function couldn't work properly and an "unsupported" 080 will pop up.
