To ensure an optimum listening experience, we would like to give you a brief primer on howto use Xelento.Safety instructionsCaution:When you connect the in-ear headphones, pleasemake sure that the volume level is set to minimum. Adjust the volume level only after inserting the eartips. To avoid possible hearingdamage, do not use your in-ear headphones for extendedperiods of time at high volume. The ability to hear yourown voice while listening and speaking normally with in-ear headphones can serve as a measure of correct volume adjustment.We would like to point out that excessively high volumes andlong listening times may cause hearing damage. Hearing defects always constitute an irreversible impairment of hearing ability.Always ensure an adequate volume level. It is advisable tokeep listening times as short as possible at high volumelevels. According to the Occupational Health and SafetyRegulations of German trade associations BGV B3, noisepollution e.g. in the workplace must not exceed 85 dB(room volume level) during a maximum permissible listening time of 8 hours. If the volume level is increasedby 3 dB respectively, the permissible listening time is cutin half, i.e. at 88 dB, the listening time is 4 hours, at 91 dB 2 hours, etc.

The user's hearing must notbe impaired to the extent that it causes road safety risks.Please also make sure that you do not use the in-ear headphones within the action area of potentially dangerousmachines and tools.Risk of injury!Avoid strong movements when using wired in-ear head-phones. You might seriously hurt yourself especially if youwear piercings, earrings, glasses, etc., where the wire canget caught.Changed acoustic perceptionFor many people, wearing in-ear headphones needs gettingused to, because acoustic perception of their own voiceand of the body as well as inner ear sounds which occurwhile walking differ from the "normal" situation without in-ear headphones. However, this initially strange sensationusually diminishes after wearing them for a while.

Note firmware version 1.0The following information applies to firmware version 1.0which is installed on this Bluetooth connecting cable.Pairing with the playerBefore you use the Xelento wireless for the first time, youhave to pair it with your mobile phone or another Bluetoothenabled device. The pairing process may be different withvarious players. Please refer to the appropriate manual ofthe player.
Xelento wireless – In-Ear Headphones10• When the Xelento wireless is turned off, press the multifunction button for 6 seconds to start the Bluetooth mode (the LED  of the remote control willslowly flash blue and red in turns). • Activate the Bluetooth function on your player and, ifnecessary, search for new devices. • Select “beyerdynamic Xelento wireless” under the available devices in the Bluetooth menu of your playerand pair both devices. Each time when turning on, bothdevices are paired automatically. Alternatively, you can pair the Xelento wireless with anNFC-enabled player via NFC. It is not important if the Xelento wireless is turned on or off. If the Xelento wirelessis turned off, it is automatically turned on due to the datatransmission. • Activate the NFC function in your player so that all necessary information can be transferred to the playerand pairing can be established. • Hold the player closely over the rear of the remote control of the Xelento wireless.• Now both devices will automatically be paired.

As soon as the LED  is permanently red, the battery is fully charged.• After charging, remove the USBcharging cable and cover theUSB connector  with the aluminium cap.

Xelento wireless – In-Ear-Kopfhörer24• Drücken Sie beim ausgeschalteten Xelento wireless 6 Sekunden lang die Multifunktionstaste , um denBluetooth-Verbindungsmodus zu starten (LED  derFernbedienung blinkt langsam abwechselnd blau undrot). • Aktivieren Sie Bluetooth bei Ihrem Abspielgerät undlassen Sie ggf. nach neuen Geräten suchen. • Wählen Sie im Bluetooth-Menü des Abspielgerätesunter den verfügbaren Geräten „beyerdynamic Xelentowireless“ aus und verbinden beide Geräte. Bei jedemweiteren Einschalten verbinden sich beide Geräte automatisch.Alternativ können Sie den Xelento wireless über NFC miteinem NFC-fähigen Abspielgerät verbinden. Es spielt dabeikeine Rolle, ob der Xelento wireless ein- oder ausgeschaltetist. Sollte der Xelento wireless ausgeschaltet sein, wird erdurch die Datenübertragung automatisch eingeschaltet.• Aktivieren Sie in Ihrem Abspielgerät die NFC-Funktion,damit alle notwendigen Informationen auf das Abspiel-gerät übertragen und so eine Verbindung hergestelltwerden kann.• Halten Sie das Abspielgerät dicht über die Rückseiteder Fernbedienung des Xelento wireless.• Die beiden Geräte werden nun automatisch gekoppelt.

USB-Netzteil)an. • Während des Ladens blinkt dieLED  der Fernbedienunglangsam rot. Sobald die LED dauerhaft rot leuchtet, ist derAkku vollständig geladen.• Entfernen Sie nach dem Lade-vorgang das USB-Ladekabelund verschließen Sie die USB-Buchse  wieder mit der Aluminiumkappe. 
