When the Turbo Timer is set to ON, the Turbo Timer Run Time must be set in the
User Programmable Options. Each time the engine is turned OFF, the engine
will continue to run according to the set time.
When the Turbo Timer is set to Auto (Normal), ZMATIC Intelligent Turbo Timer
takes the guesswork out of knowing how long to keep the engine running so that
the turbocharger and/or supercharger can adequately cool down. ZMATIC
Intelligent Turbo Timer will calculate an adequate amount of time through
complex algorithms based upon driving “style” and duration. The maximum
amount of Turbo Timer Running Time for this setting is 6 minutes.
When the Turbo Timer is set to Auto (Extreme), ZMATIC Intelligent Turbo Timer
will make the same complex calculations as Auto (Normal). However, this setting
is for those drivers who wish to run the Turbo Timer longer than normal due to
extreme driving conditions due to spirited driving. The maximum amount of
Turbo Timer Running Time for this setting is 12 minutes.
The duration for idling can be specified through the User Programmable Options.
CAUTION: Please ensure that the vehicle is in Park (automatic transmission) or
Neutral (manual transmission). Also, ensure that the parking brake
(emergency brake) is engaged. Do not idle the vehicle in an enclosed
area. Do not idle the vehicle if any laws prohibit this action.
3.13 Convenience Run
(Hold Brake Pedal down. Press and hold Remote Start Button for 2 seconds)
This feature will allow the engine to run even though the key has been
removed from the key cylinder. The engine will run for the amount of time that is
set in Remote Start Run Time.
