  bibliotheca mobile DLA owner’s manual www.bibliotheca.com, page 2 Overview    As  a  component  of  the  RFID  System,  this cordless, handheld device instantly reads RFID Tags  on  library  materials  simultaneously, turning  shelf-reading,  shelving,  sorting, searching,  weeding  and  exception-finding into routine tasks. Compact and easy to use, the DLA mobile can hold information on more than one million items. The ergonomic design and  swivel  antenna  maximize  comfort  and minimize  stooping.  No  more  bending  or stretching  to  read  high  or  low  shelves.  And because  it  simultaneously  performs  shelf-reading, searching and inventory scans, it can save time, increase productivity and discover errors that might otherwise go unnoticed. The device  can  also  quickly  identify  items  that were not properly checked out, and it instantly detects  the  security  status  of  materials. The device is intended to be used to read and program RFID tags used to identify items such as library books, the device is also used in conjunction with bibliotheca software to track, monitor, and assist in locating items equipped with RFID tags.  The device is intended to be used in an indoor library environment and has not been evaluated for other uses or locations.  Cleaning  DO  not  use  any  abrasive  cleaners  on  the  device.  Gently  rub  the  device  with  a  soft  cloth dampened with a mild cleaning solution.

The owner’s manual should be conveniently kept available at all times for each user.  Unauthorized changes and the use of spare parts and additional devices which have not been sold or recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shocks or injuries.
