Remove the batteries ilthis device is not going to be used lora long period crtime. 2.3 Parent unit power supply The Parent unit canTie used with either 2.4v soOmAh Ni-Mh rechargeable battery pack supplied or from the mains electricity via the power adaptor supplied. WARNING Never use ordinary, non—rechargeable batteries. The powermains adaptorprovrdes a orrargtrrg lunclton, and non-rechargeable batteries may burst and cause damagel NOTE The Ni-MH rechargeable batteries must be charged [or 15 hours before using the Parent unit without the mains power. We recommend the rechargeable batteries are installed, so that the unit continues to work in the event oi a mains power tailurs. 1. Using a screwdriver. burn the screw otthe battery cover on the back otihe parent unit SI] degrees in a counterclockwise direction. Remove the haltery cover. NOTE Rotate the bell clip to its hanging position to make it easier to access the battery compartment. Do not try to turn the screw further than the uteri position merited on the cover. 2. install Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack with the polarity as shown in the diagram above. and by the -+~ and markings in the battery compartment 3. close the battery compartment and turn the screw 90 degrees back In a o clockwise direction. 1. The detected sound level is indicated by the LEDs on the iront oi the parent unIL When the connection is established. move the parent unit to the room you want to monitor irom. but wrihin the operational range When there is no connection or out oi range, the parent unit emits a warning beep every 3 seconds and the green link LED on the parent unit will lash. Move the parent on" closer until the link is reestablished 2.5 Registration The baby monitor ls already preaiegtstered upon your purchase. you do not need to re-registar It again unless the baby unit loses its link with the parent unit. To re—register your baby monitor. ioliow the procedure below: . switch oil the mains power by removing ttre power supply ior both the baby and parent units. and remove a battery irom the parent unit. Press and hold Qt ior 3 sec s while the baby unit mains power is switched back on. The baby un in registration made. Press and hold @ while the parent unit mains power is switched back on. and keep holding it down until the red sound LEDs iiash. The parent unit is in registration mode. 4. Wait ior the 2 units to search and establish the link. When the registration is complete, the LEDs stop iiashing and the parent unit emits a long beep. 2.6 Paging ii the parent unit is misplaced, press and hold @ oh the baby unttIorZ seconds.
