Safety InstructionsWARNINGThis baby monitor is compliant with all relevant standards regarding electromagnetic fields and is, when handled as described in the User’s Guide, safe to use. Therefore, always read the instructions in this User’s Guide carefully before using the device.•  Adult assembly is required. Keep small parts away from children when assembling.•  This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with it.•  This baby monitor is not a substitute for responsible adult supervision.•  Keep this user’s guide for future reference.•  Do not place the baby unit or cables in the crib or within arm's reach of the baby (the unit should be at least 3 feet away).•  Keep the cords out of reach of children.•  Do not cover the baby monitor with a towel or blanket.•  Never use extension cords with power adaptors. Only use the power adaptors provided.•  Test the baby monitor before use. Become familiar with its functions.•  Do not use the baby monitor near water.•  Do not install the baby monitor near a heat source.•  Only use the chargers and power adaptors provided. Do not use other chargers or power adaptors as this may damage the device and battery pack.•  Only insert battery pack of the same type. •  Do not touch the charger or plug contacts with sharp or metal objects.CAUTIONRisk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
Getting started 7ENGLISH2. Getting started2.1 Baby unit power supply1. Connect the small plug of the power adaptor to the baby unit and the other end to the electrical outlet (110V/60Hz).NOTEOnly use the enclosed power adaptor (5V DC / 500mA).2. Slide the power switch to the ON position. The power LED will light up in green.3. To switch off the baby unit, slide the power switch to OFF position.
8 Getting started2.2 Parent unit battery Installation1. Turn the belt clip so that it is in the hanging position.2. Loosen the screw in a counterclockwise direction using a small screwdriver. Remove the battery cover.3. Insert the wire tab of the rechargeable battery pack into the contact slot as shown above and fit the battery pack into the compartment. 4. Close the battery compartment and tighten the screw in a clockwise direction.5. Press F to switch ON the parent unit. The LCD screen illuminates.-  It will take a few seconds to start up the unit.6. Press and hold F to switch OFF the parent unit.The battery icon   indicates that the battery pack is low and needs to be recharged. The battery pack takes about 15 hours to charge fully.Black Redscrew
Getting started 9ENGLISH2.3 Parent unit power supplyIMPORTANTWe recommend the rechargeable battery pack to be installed before use, so that the unit continues to work in the event of a mains power failure.1. Connect the small plug of the power adaptor to the parent unit and the other end to the electrical outlet (110V/60Hz)NOTEOnly use the enclosed power adaptor (5V DC / 1000mA).2. The LCD screen illuminates and starts up automatically after a few seconds.3. Press and hold F to switch OFF the parent unit.NOTEOnce the baby and parent units are switched on, the display on the parent unit will show the video captured by the baby unit.When there is no connection or out of range, the icon on the LCD display will flash and the parent unit will beep continuously. Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit until the link is re-established.
10 Getting started2.4 RegistrationThe baby monitor is already pre-registered upon your purchase. You do not need to re-register it again unless the baby unit loses its link with the parent unit. Please check that you have selected the correct channel that was linked to your baby unit before you attempt to re-register your unit.To re-register your baby monitor, follow the procedure below:1. Switch off the camera and remove the small power plug from the camera. Then, remove the battery pack from the parent unit and switch off the mains power.2. When the battery pack is replaced in the Parent unit with the mains power switched back on, the LCD screen illuminates and starts up automatically. 3. Press D to enter menu mode.4. Press ( or ) until   is selected on the LCD screen.5. Press + or - to select the camera channel you wish to pair. There are up to 4 camera channels available for pairing.6. Switch on the camera and press F on the Parent unit to start pairing. Pairing is displayed as the Parent unit search for a camera device.Wait for 16 seconds for the parent unit to locate the camera and map it to the current selected channel. The pairing is complete when the display screen on the parent unit captures the video from the baby unit’s camera. If no camera is found, No Device found will be displayed on the LCD screen. Switch the camera off and on to try again.

Using the Baby Monitor MBP303.1 Setting up•  Place the camera in a convenient location (for e.g. on a table) and point the lens of the camera towards the area you want to monitor.•  Tilt the head of the baby unit up or down to your desired position until the parent unit gets a good reception of the baby.•  To wall mount your camera, see “9. Wall mounting instructions” for more details.•  To use your video monitor baby and parent unit together, you must be able to establish a radio link between them, and the range will be affected by environmental conditions. •  Any large metal object, like a refrigerator, a mirror, a filing cabinet, metallic doors or reinforced concrete, between the baby and parent unit may block the radio signal.
12 Using the Baby Monitor MBP30•  The signal strength may also be reduced by other solid structures, like walls, or by radio or electrical equipment, such as TV's, computers, cordless or mobile phones, fluorescent lights or dimmer switches. •  Use of other 2.4GHz products, such as wireless networks, Bluetooth systems or microwave ovens may cause interference with this product, so keep the baby monitor away from these types of products, or turn them off if they appear to be causing interference. •  If the signal is poor, try moving the parent and/or the baby unit to different positions in the rooms.NOTEDo not place the camera within baby’s reach!3.2 Setting up•  Place the camera in a convenient location and point the lens of the camera towards the area you want to monitor.•  Tilt the head of the baby unit up or down to your desired position until the parent unit gets a good reception of the baby.NOTEDo not place the camera within baby’s reach!3.3 Selecting camera channelThe Parent unit has 4 camera channels of which the video and audio feed from the channels can be displayed on the LCD. You will need additional cameras paired to the parent unit if you wish to monitor different areas using this channel option.To switch between the channels, press F.3.4 Pairing camera channelsThe enclosed camera has already been paired and no setup is required.For additional cameras, you will need to pair them to new channels before you can use them. There are up to 4 camera channels available for pairing. See “2.4 Registration” for more details.
MBP30 Parent Unit Menu Options 13ENGLISH3.5 Night visionThe camera has 9 high-intensity infrared LEDs for picking up clear images in the dark. When the built-in photo sensor detects a low level of ambient light, the LEDs will automatically activate and the screen on the parent unit will display in black and white.3.6 Talk functionPress and hold ( on the parent unit to talk to your baby through the baby unit loudspeaker. The symbol   will be displayed at the top of the LCD screen. 3.7 Adjusting the volume of the parent unitWhen the video is playing or in standby mode, press + to decrease volume or - to increase volume. 4. MBP30 Parent Unit Menu Options4.1 BrightnessThis option lets you change the brightness of the LCD.1. Press D to enter menu mode.2. Press ( or ) until   is selected on the LCD screen.3. Press + or - to adjust the LCD brightness level. The LCD brightness will be adjusted accordingly.4.2 Night VisionWhen activated, this function automatically switches the camera to night vision when the brightness level of the room where the camera is placed is not strong enough. 1. Press D to enter menu mode.2. Press ( or ) until   is selected on the LCD screen.
14 MBP30 Parent Unit Menu Options3. Press + or - to turn the Baby Unit Night Vision On or Off. The night lights on the baby unit will be switched on and off accordingly.4.3 Voice ActivationThe sound detection sensitivity level (VOX) of the Baby Monitor can be adjusted. If the baby is a quiet sleeper, the sensitivity level can be increased so that minor disturbances can be detected and transmitted to the parent unit.1. Press D to enter menu mode.2. Press ( or ) until   is selected on the LCD screen.3. Press + or - to adjust the VOX level. When the VOX function is on, VOX will be displayed at the top of the LCD screen. The LCD screen will switch off after a few seconds if the detected sound is below the level selected. NOTEThe LCD screen on the parent unit will be switched back on when the sound level of the baby reaches the VOX threshold or when any key on the parent unit is pressed.4.4 Video TimerThis function makes the LCD switch off automatically after a certain amount of time (1 min) in order to save power, unless it is set to always on. 1. Press D to enter menu mode.2. Press ( or ) until   is selected on the LCD screen.3. Press + or - to turn the Parent Unit Video Timer On or Off (the default setting is On).NOTEThe LCD turns on automatically when the sound level reaches the VOX threshold or when any key on the parent unit is pressed.This setting applies to all cameras paired to the parent unit.
Disposal of the device (environment) 15ENGLISH5. Disposal of the device (environment)At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not dispose of this product with normal household waste, but take the product to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. The symbol on the product, user’s guide and/or box indicates this.Some of the product materials can be re-used if you take them to a recycling point. By reusing some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.Please contact your local authorities in case you need more information on the collection points in your area.Dispose of the battery pack in an environmentally-friendly manner according to your local regulations.6. CleaningClean the MBP30 with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.Cleaning and care•  Do not clean any part of the product with thinners or other solvents and chemicals –- this may cause permanent damage to the product which is not covered by the Warranty. When necessary, clean it with a damp cloth.•  Keep your MBP30 away from hot, humid areas or strong sunlight, and don’t let it get wet.•  Every effort has been made to ensure high standards of reliability for your MBP30. However, if something does go wrong, please do not try to repair it yourself –- contact Customer Service for assistance.
16 Help7. HelpDisplayNo display•  Try recharging or replacing the battery pack.•  Reset the units. Disconnect the battery pack of the parent unit and unplug the units’ electrical power, then plug them back in.•  Is the unit turned on? Press and release F on the parent unit to turn it on.RegistrationIf the baby unit has lost its link with the parent unit•  Try recharging or replacing the battery pack.•  If the baby unit is too far away it may be going out of range, so move the baby unit closer to the parent unit.•  Reset the units by unplugging the units’ electrical power. Wait for around 15 seconds and plug it back in again. Allow up to one minute for the baby unit and the parent unit to synchronize.•  See “2.4 Registration” if there is a need to re-register the units.8.
