If you don't have a SIM card or don't have the right type of SIM card, contact yourservice provider.CAUTION: Do not use a larger SIM card that was cut to a smaller size. For example, the BBM widgetshows a small view of your current chats. The Bookmarks widget shows all of the websites that you have bookmarked sothat you can open them right from the home screen.•Shortcuts help you perform the tasks that you do the most. You can type eciently by creating custom text shortcutsand by using prediction, correction, and spell check. After you set up your keyboard preferences, learn how to cut, copy,and paste text, and delete words. With prediction, you can select word suggestions that appear while you type. You can alsoset up or change your display, typing, and keyboard languages.Your device has a touch sensitive slider keyboard and a touch screen keyboard. Both keyboards support finger swipegestures that allow you to choose word suggestions, edit text, and show the number and symbol list quickly.Using gestures with the slider keyboardYou can use the slider keyboard to interact with your device without touching your screen. Wi-FiA Wi-Fi network connection is another way to use data services on your device, but, unlike the mobile network, using Wi-Fidoesn't add charges to your data plan. Your device is designed to try to use saved Wi-Fi networks before it connects to themobile network for basic data functions, such as searching the Internet or downloading apps. You can leave Wi-Fi on sothat as soon as you're in range of a saved Wi-Fi network, your device connects to it automatically. Keep in mind that if youleave the Wi-Fi network connection on, your battery can lose power more quickly.Connections between devicesUSBYou can use a USB cable to create a two-way connection between your device and a computer. Your device appears onyour computer as a mapped drive. You can usually use a USB connection to drag files between your computer and yourdevice, depending on the features available on your computer.Bluetooth technologyBluetooth wireless technology allows you to create a direct connection between your device and another Bluetoothenabled device. Although you can transfer files over a Bluetooth connection, because of its ability to stream content,Bluetooth connections are more commonly used for actions such as playing the music on your device through a separatespeaker or making calls on a headset that is using your device's mobile network connection.NFCNFC is a short-range wireless technology that's used to quickly create connections between your device and other NFC-enabled devices or NFC tags. Internet tetheringYou can use Internet tethering when you have only one device that you want to connect to the Internet through yourdevice's mobile network connection. You can connect the device to your BlackBerry device using a USB cable or, if bothdevices are Bluetooth enabled, you can use Bluetooth technology instead.Mobile hotspotYou can use mobile hotspot mode to connect up to ten devices to your BlackBerry device. The number of devices that youcan connect depends on your device model. When you use the mobile hotspot feature, your device becomes a Wi-Fiaccess point that other Wi-Fi enabled devices can connect to and use to access the Internet.VPN connectionsYou can connect your device to a virtual private network (VPN) using the mobile network or a Wi-Fi connection. GuestYou can use the guest profile to let someone borrow your device.
