Paviro Message HotSwapper

Introduction
The PAVIRO Message HotSwapper allows editing the stored messages of a PAVIRO system.
Using the IRIS-Net project file used for configuration of the system, this stand-alone tool
allows to swap (replace) the business messages stored in the integrated message manager of
the PVA-4CR12 Controller.

System requirements
Processor

Intel Pentium III 1 GHz or equivalent (better is recommended)

OS

Windows XP (Service Pack3), Vista, Windows 7 (32-Bit or 64-Bit) or
Windows 8

RAM

1 GB (more is recommended)

Hard Disk

1 GB of free space

Video

1024x768, High Color (16 Bit)

Network

Ethernet port

Installation
Execute following steps to install the PAVIRO Message HotSwapper on your PC.
1.

Execute the setup file of the Hot Swapper.

2.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Operation
How to replace a message
1. Make sure your PC is connected to the PAVIRO system via Ethernet.
2.

Open the PAVIRO Message HotSwapper application.

3.

Choose File > Open…

4.

Select the IRIS-Net project file used for configuration of the PAVIRO system.

5.

If the default password (“4444”) to access the controller with external tools has been
changed, enter the password.

6.

All messages stored in the system are automatically listed in the main window of the
HotSwapper.

7.

To swap a message, select the entry in the messages list

8.

Click the Replace button.

9.

Select the new WAV file to be used for the selected message.

Notice!
WAV file format
Please note following file format restrictions for uploading messages:
File format = Wave,
Bit depth = 16 Bit PCM
Sample rate = 48 kHz
Channel count = 1 (mono)

Element

Description

Device Name

The name of the Controller in the IRIS-Net project file.

Module

The number of the message manager, where the message is stored.

Level

The signal level (“volume”) of the message. Double-click on the level to

increase or decrease the volume of the selected message.
Duration

The duration (in format minutes:seconds) of the message.

Description

The description of the message. Double-click on the description to edit
the message description.

Info

The info section indicates the memory usage of the message manager
installed in the Controller. If there is more than one Controller in the
system, choose a Controller from the drop down menu.

Refresh

Click on Refresh to refresh the messages list.

Replace

Click on Replace to replace the WAV file of the message selected in the
messages list.
