This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions
relating to product’s use or the installation of components; b) damage caused by

caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone;
d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e) a product or part
that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f) items intended to be
periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including,
without limitation, batteries or light bulbs; g) any product sold “as is” including, without
limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h) a product that is
used commercially or for a commercial purpose.

DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING

Table of contents
Brookstone warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship
under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the
original purchaser (“Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received
within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect
at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product
with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or
3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product.
A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance
with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the
original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes
your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone’s property. When a store
credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes
Brookstone’s property.

Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limited Warranty Service
at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service
and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and
replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and
response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of
the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our
instructions.

This Fan is intended for household use only.

• Before cleaning, switch the Picture Fan off and remove the plug from the USB
port.
Caution: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
• Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the Picture Fan housing.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B

installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency

display.
Insert one end of the included Micro USB cable into the included adapter and
plug the adapter into an electrical socket. Insert the other end of the Micro
USB cable into the Micro USB port on the Picture Fan.
2. Switch the Picture Fan to Fan with LED to turn on with Messages/Images
displayed.
3. Switch the Picture Fan to Fan without LED to turn on without Messages/		
	Images displayed.
4. Tap “Save” to save the picture. The picture is shown on the Home screen.
5. Double tap the picture on the Home screen to edit.
6. Repeat steps 1-4 to add additional messages. The Picture Fan displays up to
10 messages and/or images.
adding a photo from camera

Downloading free APP
2. Take a photo with your device’s camera. The photo will show in the fan display.
Go to the App StoreSM (for Apple devices) or Google PlayTM (for Android devices) to
download the Picture Fan App, “Picture Fan”.
3. Pinch in, pinch out and rotate the photo to the desired position on the fan 		
display.
The Picture Fan App is compatible with:
Apple® iOS 8.0 and later
Android® 4.3 and later
Open the Picture Fan app on your device and tap the Add Photo from Camera
icon on the Home Screen. Your device’s camera will open.
4. Tap “Save” to save the photo. The photo is shown on the Home screen.
5. Double tap the photo on the Home screen to edit.
6. Repeat steps 1-4 to add additional messages. The Picture Fan displays up to
10 messages and/or images.

PAIRING DEVICE and picture fan

Open the Picture Fan app on your device and tap the Add Picture icon on 		
the Home Screen. The Add Picture screen displays.
Return to Home
screen
Prepare your device to pair using Bluetooth® technology, making sure the
device is within 33 feet of the Picture Fan. Refer to your device’s owners 		
manual for details if necessary.
2. Download the free “Picture Fan” app from the App StoreSM (for Apple devices)
or Google PlayTM (for Android devices).
3. Switch the Picture Fan to Fan with LED.
Open the Picture Fan app on your device. The app will scan for the Picture Fan.
5. Select “Picture Fan” from the list of available devices. When your device is
connected, the app’s Home screen will display and the Bluetooth® Connection
icon on the Home screen will be blue.

6. Tap the Bluetooth® Connection icon anytime to scan for the Picture Fan. When
your device and the Picture Fan are paired, the Bluetooth® Connection icon on
the Home screen is blue. When your device and the Picture Fan are not paired,
the Bluetooth® Connection icon on the Home screen is gray.
Note: The Picture Fan and your device need to be re-paired through the app
when the Picture Fan is turned on.

adding a message
1.
Open the Picture Fan app on your device and tap the Add Message icon on
the Home Screen. The Add Message screen displays.
2. Tap the Message Bubble to type your own message. The message will show in
the fan display.
3. Tap the Pencil icon to bring up a list of pre-loaded messages to select.
4. Tap the Heart icon to bring up a list of icons to add to your message.
5. Tap the Color Selector the choose between solid colors and random colors.
Use the Color Slider to make a color selection for your message.
Return to Home
screen
6. Tap “Save” to save the message. The message is shown on the Home screen.
8. Repeat steps 1-6 to add additional messages. The Picture Fan displays up to
10 messages and/or images.
