Wireless Temperature/Humidity Sensor
Installation and Operation Instructions
Description
The Building Automation Products, Inc. Wireless Temperature/Humidity Sensor, Model BA/WTH-D-BB is a
battery operated, surface mounted sensor with a 418 MHz radio transmitter.
The BA/WTH-D-BB is designed to require very little energy; the two internal 3.6 Volt Lithium batteries will
operate the sensor for 5 to 8 years in normal operation
The BA/WTH-D-BB enclosure is designed to mount directly onto a ventilation duct surface or outside wall with
the sensing probe being mounted out the back [duct] or out the bottom [outdoor]. The enclosure is supplied
with a ‘foam-back’ to minimize vibration and air leakage from a duct or electrical conduit. The enclosure is
also provided with additional screws to lock the cover and base together to prevent tampering.
The BA/WTH-D-BB has one internal push-button which allows for easy training and identification of the
transmitter. The push-button is used when linking the transmitter to any Analog Output Module. See BAPI’s
INS/OPS for details. The BA/WTH-D-BB also has an internally mounted LED. The LED will flash briefly
when the sensor transmits a data packet using the 418 MHz radio. This happens roughly about once every 10
seconds or shortly after the use of the push-button.
