product spec Enlighted Room Control The Enlighted Room Control is the ideal option when you want to enable push-button manual control over special spaces under Enlighted’s intelligent lighting control—such as private offices, conference rooms and theatres. OV E RVI E W The Enlighted Room Control is designed for use with the Enlighted Lighting Control Application, today’s most effective and easily deployed means to align workspace lighting levels with tasks, comfort preferences and energy efficiency goals. The Enlighted Room Control enables you to activate scenes such that groups of light fixtures behave in concert to achieve a lighting objective — for example, to adjust for comfortable viewing of a backlit screen versus a live presenter. When the switch is installed in a private office, the occupant can define specific lighting scenes for concentrating, revitalizing or meetings. The Enlighted Room Control gives you the flexibility to predefine up to six different scenes and many brightness levels that can then be accessed at the push of a button. F E AT U R E S A N D B E N E F IT S + MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL: Each Enlighted Room Control is a full-fledged computing and communications device. The switch communicates with Enlighted Smart Sensors™ attached to the fixtures, enabling the sensor to make local decisions. + S O F T WAR E - D R I VE N : Scene configurations are defined for each individual Enlighted Room Control and are saved in the smart sensor’s memory during switch commissioning. Scenes are easily configured and changed through the browser-accessible Enlighted Energy Manager™. CO D E - CO M P LI A N T: In some regions, building code requires that a manual on/auto off switch be located in any closed space under automated lighting control, like private offices. The Enlighted Room Control fulfills this requirement. Enlighted, Inc. Customer Support +1.855.874.1692 S IMP LE AND LOW- COS T I N S TA L L ATI O N : Completely self-contained and requiring no external power, the switch installs easily. In most cases, installation can be accomplished using off-the-shelf faceplates and wall- mounting kits. Because there is no wiring involved, there is no need for a licenced electrician. + E A SY O P E R ATI O N : Intuitive buttons enable occupants to brighten and dim lights, as well as cycle through lighting scenes and return to default behavior. When a space has been unoccupied for a pre-determined period of time, the Enlighted system reestablishes automatic control. Vacancy duration is a configurable parameter. + S TA N DA R DS - BA SE D N E T WOR K I NG A N D SEC U R IT Y: Adhering to the 802.15.4 wireless protocol and selecting low-traffic channels, the Enlighted wireless network reliably coexists with Wi-Fi networks. Traffic is AES-128 encrypted to prevent intrusion and tampering. + LOW A I R -TI M E CO N S U M P TI O N : The Enlighted Room Control consumes a very small fraction of wireless channel capacity because it only communicates locally with the smart sensors, thereby minimizing collisions with other traffic. + VIRTUAL CONTROL MODE: The Enlighted Room Control also provides virtual control through the Enlighted Energy Manager web interface. Access to this can be granted by the system administrator to certain occupants using a role-based access control model. + M I N I MAL MA I N T E NAN C E : With an expected battery life of more than 5 years, the Enlighted Room Control has minimal maintenance requirements. www.enlightedinc.com © Copyright 2013.
