MINI FINDMATE FM01
Principle
MINI FINDMATE contains two electronic luggage
tags that can be connected by means of an app to a
compatible smartphone.
General
A distinction is made whether a luggage tag is
located within or outside the reception range.
Among other things, the app provides the following
possibilities:
It indicates whether a luggage tag is located
within or outside the reception range.
An alarm can be set for the case that a luggage
tag leaves the reception range.
Using the smartphone, an alarm can be
triggered in the luggage tag.
Using a button on the luggage tag, an alarm
can be triggered on the the smartphone.
If a luggage tag leaves the reception range, the
position of the smartphone on which the signal
of the luggage tag was last received is saved.
It is irrelevant whether the luggage tag or the
smartphone is moved, as only the connection
between the two objects is evaluated. The
following use cases, for example, arise:
The luggage tag is attached to an object that
the user has to take the next day. An alarm is
triggered on the smartphone as soon as the
smartphone leaves the reception range. To find
the object quickly, an alarm can be triggered in
the luggage tag using the smartphone.
MINI Connected
The luggage tag is left at a fixed position that is
to be found again.
On leaving the reception range, the last
position of the smartphone on which the signal
of the luggage tag was received is saved. This
position can be found using the navigation
system of the smartphone, e.g. a parked car in
a big city.
The smartphone i
s to be found with the
help of the luggage tag. Using the button on
the luggage tag, an alarm is triggered on the
the smartphone. For this, the smartphone must
be located within the reception range.
A detailed description can be found in the tutorial
for the MINI FINDMATE app.
