Requires 95V rechargeable battery pack and charger (included) and 9V alkaline battery (not included) IMPORTANT: DO NOT OPERATE VEHICLE IN RAIN, WATER, PUDDLES OR SNOW. WATER MAY DAMAGE YOURVEHICLE AND VOID WARRANTY IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ' NEVER drive your R/C vehicle on the street or near water! - Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing away from wheels while vehicle is turned on. CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS - ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED 1. Connect WHITE PLUGS on BATTERY PACK and CHARGER together. 2. Plug CHARGER into walloutlet. 3. Charge for 4 hours,then unplug CHARGER from wall,and disconnect BATTERY PACK and CHARGER by pressing the LEVER and pulling PLUGS apart. 4. Battery pack should be slightly warm after4 hours of charging. This is normal and indicates it has taken a charge. 5. Do not overcharge. Charging for more than 4 hours will not improve performance and may damage battery pack. 6. In use, battery pack will lose its power all at once. EQUALIZER will stop operating. It is not detective, it’s time to recharge. 7. WAIT 20 MIN. BEFORE RECHARGING, NEVER RECHARGE A HOT BATTERY PACK, OR YOU WILL SEVERELY REDUCE ITS LIFE. CHARGER BATTERY ' PACK I INSTALLING BATTERY PACK IN VEHICLE 1.Turn VEHICLE over and swing open LATCH of BATTERY COMPARTMENT at rear ofVEHICLE. 2. Swing open BATTERY LID. 3. Snap together PLUGS of BATTERY PACK and VEHICLE. 4. Place BATTERY PACK in BATTERY COMPARTMENT as shown. Place WIRES and PLUGS neatly under LID so that LID can close without touching or pinching WIRES or PLUGS. 5. Close LID and swing LATCH . , fully closed. . _.._ 6. USE CAUTION WHEN ‘ . BATTERY REMOVING BATTERY PACK i ' PACK AFTER OPERATION. BATTERY " PACK MAY BE HOT. INSTALLING BATTERY IN REMOTE 1. Press on ARROW on BATTERY LID and slide LID in direction ofARROW to remove. 2. Snap a fresh, new 9V ALKALINE BATTERY into BATTERY COMPARTMENT, Make sure the BATTERY (+) and I-) posts line up as shown in Fig. 5. 3. Replace BATTERY LID by inserting right end first, then lower in the left end and slidefirmly to left to secure. MORE SAFETY STUFF! Do not hold the vehicle by the wheels. Keep fingers, hair, clothing and everything else away from the wheels. Be careful not to touch the remote controls until the vehicle is placed on the running surface. Do not touch the moving vehicle. Pick an open, dry place to drive where you cannot hit people, pets, cars, or anything else that might be damaged or might cause damage to your vehicle. Do not operate in the street. Choose a hard, dry, flat surface to operate on. Avoid grass, sand, gravel, loose dirt and broken surfaces, wet ground and puddles. REMOTE FUNCTIONS TRANSFORM TRANSFORM POWER swn’cn: LEFT POWER LIGHT / RIGHT Slide to turn remote ON and OFF. POWER THROTTLE LIGHT will glow when FWD power is on and blink if T the battery is low and needs to be replaced. COAST STEERING LEFT‘“ STRAIGHT—> RIGHT Always turn switch off when vehicle is not in i use" REV LEFTTHROTTLE: Slide up for FORWARD. down for REVERSE, middle position (release) to COAST. STEERING: Slide left to STEER LEFT, right to STEER RIGHT, middle position (release) for STRAIGHT. LEFT TRANSFORM: Press left button on top to transform the wheels to the left. RIGHT TRANSFORM: Press right button on top to transform the wheels to the right. SWITCH “£113 OPERATION Vou are now ready to check the operation of your EQUALIZERW‘ Radio Control vehicle. 1. Turn VEHICLE POWER SWITCH to ON position and place vehicle on ground. 2. Make sure REMOTE POWER SWITCH is ON. 3. Make sure ANTENNA is screwed In and extended fully. Point ANTENNA up, not at vehicle. Do not touch while operating. 4. Operate the controls on the REMOTE. FREQUENCY AND INTERFERENCE Refer to labels on remote and vehicle for frequency. Remote and vehicle must be the same frequency. Do not race vehicles with the same frequency. Buildings, electrical wires, metal fences, automobiles, and other structures can cause interference and make your vehicle run and respond poorly. Move away from such things to increase the remote's performance. STUNTS 1. WHEELIE: While going in REVERSE, move the THROTTLE to FORWARD. 2. SUPER TWISTER: While doing a WHEELIE, quickly move STEERING to LEFT or RIGHT. 3. VERTICAL SIDE SLIDE: While doing a WHEELIE, press and hold one of the TRANSFORM BUTTONS and move the THROTTLE to FORWARD or REVERSE. 4. SPINS: Move STEERING all the way RIGHT or LEFT. 5. POWERSLIDE DRIFTING: While moving FORWARD, hit one of the TRANSFORM BUTTONS. 6 T0 INFINITY: Make up your own stunts! The wildemhe better. Make up new combinations of THROTTLE, STEERING and TRANSFORM BUTTON input. The possibilities are endless! TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Vehicle won't go or steer. Battery pack not charged. Was battery pack warm when you removed it from the charger after 4 hours? if so, it probably did take a charge. if battery pack is cold after charging,it did not take a charge. Disconnect battery and charger, reconnect plugs firmly. An adult should test the wall outlet with a lamp or other appliance to make sure it is working. Power switch on vehicle is off. Battery In remote is weak or dead. When Power Light on remote blinks, replace the battery. Remote is not working. if Power Light on remote goes on (steady. not blinking) when switched on with fresh battery installed, remote is proba bly 0K. Vehicle gotwet. Immediately remove battery pack and allow vehicle to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry place. Electronic circuits in vehicle may be damaged. WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER WATER DAMAGE. Vehicle seems slow or weak. Battery pack not "trained“ to take a full charge. The first few charges of battery pack are the weakest. "Train" the battery pack by running it down all the way in the vehicle, allow to cool,then charge for 4 hours, no more, no less. Repeat "training" 56 times until battery strength is improved. Vehicle hard to control. Not enough traction: Vehicle handles best on high—traction surfaces like rough or textured asphalt and concrete. Avoid sandy, dirty, dusty, grassy, rough. broken or gravel surfaces. VEHICLE ISSUES The first few charges of a rechargeable battery pack are the weakest. Stay away from sand, mud, snow and water so that your vehicle will last for along time, KEEP VEHICLE DRY. DO NOT RUN NEARWATER, lN PUDDLES OR WET GRASS,OR IN RAlN OR SNOW. Keep your vehicle clean. Lightly brush off anydirt. Never immerse in water or hose off, REMOVE BATTERIES WHEN NOT iN USE. lf vehicle gets wet, IMMEDlATELY remove the battery pack. Leave vehicle to air dry in a warm, dry location for 24 hours. REMOTE ISSUES Keep remote antenna pointed up during operation for best performance and range. Don't touch the antenna while operating. When Power Light on remote blinks, replace the battery.
