Getting started with your PowerCase Notebook Pro
Step 1: Place your iPad/iPad Mini into the case
1. Slide your iPad/iPad Mini into the case
2. Close the Velcro strap to prevent the iPad
from slipping out
3. Place the case to a comfortable position
Step 2: Turn the Bluetooth keyboard on
1. Locate the on/off switch and Bluetooth button which can be found on the keyboard face in the
top right hand corner.
2. Turn the keyboard on.

Step 3: Pair the keyboard and your iPad/iPad Mini
1. Press the Bluetooth key to send the Bluetooth signal
2. Turn your iPad on and select “Settings”---General”---“Bluetooth”
3. Slide the Bluetooth to “On” and your iPad will start to search for Bluetooth devices
4. When it finds the “Bluetooth keyboard”, select it and begin pairing.
5. Enter the password displayed in the blue window and press the “Enter” key on the keyboard
Please note that Step 3 is only required for the initial setup. After your first successful connection, the
Bluetooth keyboard will connect automatically to your iPad when you turn the power on. You may need
to tap on the keys to wake it up from hibernation mode.

A: Caps Lock light This will be lit when Caps Lock is on
B: Power light (Capacity indicator B1, B2, B3 and B4, four levels)
When charging the battery via the micro USB port the current
capacity indicator will flash.
When fully charged, four indicators will illuminate in blue,
without flashing.
When charging your iPad or other mobile devices via the
standard USB port:
o The current capacity indicator will flash on and off.
o When your iPad or other mobile device is fully charged, the power indicators will go off and
stop charging with stop automatically.
When the Notebook Pro battery power falls below 5%, the Capacity indicator B1 will flash quickly
and then stop discharging.
C: Bluetooth light - When the Bluetooth button is activated and during pairing between the keyboard
and your iPad, this light will flash until the keyboard and iPad are successfully paired.

Step 5: Charging your Notebook Pro
1. Select your (supplied) micro USB to standard USB lead
2. Plug the standard USB end into your power source
(this could be a laptop or a USB compatible power plug)
3. Plug the micro USB end into the micro USB port on the
side of the Notebook Pro keyboard.
4. Turn the power source on to begin charging
5. The battery will charged in 8 hours for iPad and 4 hours
for iPad mini.

1. To charge your iPad/iPad Mini simply use the standard
USB to 30 pin connector lead supplied as indicated
In this image.
2. If you have an iPad 4 or iPad Mini, simply use your own
charging cable.
3. You can also charge other Apple products such as
the iPhone 4/4s using the Standard USB to 30 pin
connector lead supplied as indicated In this image.
4. Other devices can also be charged using your device
specific charging lead in the same way.

Trouble Shooting
If you are unable to connect the keyboard to your iPad/iPad Mini, please try the following:
Check if the battery is low. When the battery is low, some keys will react slowly and even won’t work.

Then, you should charge the battery.
Check the power switch, make sure it is on.
Restart the Bluetooth switch, make sure your iPad/iPad Mini can find this device
Ensure the password for pairing is correct.
