~ The motorbike is powered by 4 ><“AA" i.SVolt alkaline type batteries] while the remote control unit requires 2 x
“AA" 1.5Volt alkaline type batteries. The batteries are not included.

The remote control unit has an effective range of approximately 7 metres (this could be further reduced due to
environmental conditions),

INTRODUCYION TO THE TOY
Chicco has created a remote control Ducati 999 motorbike that moves in 4 directions (forward straight, reverse 4
straight, forward left, forward right), Thanks to its simple commands) the motorbike can be used by two year olds
and upward. At this age, a child can begin to use the remote control by simply pressing the buttons and watching
the direction, the motorbike takes. This exercise is very important because it allows children to extend their field
of vision and develop theireye-hand co~ordination skills,
By the age of three, a child learns to associate the direction selected by using the remote control unit with the
eiiecl produced (corresponding to the motorbike’s movement). In the beginning, children learn to control the
motorbike until it meets an obstacle. At a later stage, they learn to coordinate precisely the correct use of the
remote control unit to achieve the desired direction
The iunctloning of this toy requires the use of public frequencies (as indicated by regulations in force). For this
reason, the motorbike may pick up signals from similar remote controls being operated nearby, in such an event,
the motorbike may perform different manoeuvres from those set up on the remote control unit.
HOW TO USE THE TOY
Airer fitting the batteries,
1) First, switch on the motorbike, by positioning the ON/OFF switch (diagram A—i) located at the rear of the bike,
to the l position, and then the remote control unit, by positioning the switch (diagram 5-3) to i [ON].
2) Activate the motorbike by pressing the buttons on the remote control unit, The remote control unit has four
buttons, which correspond to the following directions: forward left (diagram BeS), ion/ward right (diagram 5-6),
forward straight (diagram 8-7), reverse straight (diagram B~8).
3) After use, both the vehicle and the remote control unit should be switched off, by positioning the motorbike’s
switch (diagram A4) and the remote controls unit switch (Diagram BS) to 0 (OFF).
FITTING AND/DR REPLACING BATTERIES
- Batteries must only be fitted by an adult.
- To replace spent batteries; Loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover (Bike diagram A—Z; remote con—
trol unit diagram 8—4) with a screwdriver and open the cover, Then, remove the spent batteries and fit new ones,
ensuring that they have been fitted in the correct polarity (as shown on the product), close the battery cover, and
tighten the screw.
' Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for the correct function of
this product,
~ Never mix new and old or different types of batteries.
~ Always keep batteries and tools out of reach of children.
~ Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
~ Always remove spent batteries from the toy to avoid the danger of leakage from the battery damaging the product,’
-Always remove the batteries if the toy will not be used for a long period of time.
~ Remove the batteries from the toy and remote control unit before disposing of them.
. Do not burn or dispose of spent batteries into the environment. Dispose of them at an appropriate differentiated
collection point.
~ In the case of leakage, replace the batteries immediately, taking care to clean the battery compartment and to
wash your hands, if they have come into contact with the battery liquid.
- Do not attempt to recharge non—rechargeable batteries. as they might explode.
- The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended, since it might impair the toy‘s functionality.
‘ ii rechargeable batteries are used. take them out of the toy before recharging them. Batteries must always be
recharged under adult supervision.
