{00003941.DOC ; 2} LOJACK COMMERCIAL PURCHASER’S LIMITED WARRANTY THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING LOJACK PRODUCTS WHEN INSTALLED IN COMMERCIAL VEHICLE: o Ruggedized LoJack Unit o LoJack Retrieve Unit (Base LoJack) o LoJack for Trailers Unit The term "LoJack Unit" as used in this limited warranty refers to any of the foregoing products installed in a vehicle including a trailer other than in connection with a sale to a consumer ("Commercial Vehicle"). This limited warranty expressly excludes, without limitation, LoJack Locate for Construction products which are covered by that certain LoJack Locate for Construction Limited Warranty. LIMITED PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY - We warrant that if the LoJack Unit (exclusive of backup battery) proves to be defective in material or workmanship within two (2) years from the date of installation we will, at our option, either replace the LoJack Unit, or provide without charge the labor and parts necessary to remedy any such defect. LoJack’s sole responsibility is to replace or repair the LoJack Unit and not for any additional payment. For a period of ninety (90) days after installation, LoJack will provide parts and labor or service to replace any part of the backup battery system which proves to be defective in material or workmanship. RECOVERY GUARANTEE – In addition to the LoJack Limited Parts and Labor Warranty, we warrant that if, within two (2) years from the date of installation of the LoJack Unit, the Purchaser’s Commercial Vehicle is stolen and not recovered within thirty (30) days from the time that report of the theft is officially recorded by the police department having jurisdiction, LoJack Corporation will install a comparable LoJack Unit in a Commercial Vehicle designated by Purchaser, free of charge. This warranty applies only when both the theft of the vehicle and the report of the theft occur within the boundaries of a jurisdiction where the LoJack System is fully operative at the time of the theft (for further details, see the LoJack Recovery Network information in your Owner’s Manual or online at www.lojack.com). This installation of a LoJack Unit free of charge shall be the complete and final remedy available to Purchaser in the event of non-recovery of your Commercial Vehicle within thirty (30) days after the report of the theft to police. In connection with any claim under the LoJack Limited Recovery Warranty it is the responsibility of the Purchaser to provide (i) dated/time-stamped proof of report of theft from the appropriate police department; (ii) dated proof of purchase of the LoJack Unit; and (iii) confirmation by such police department that the vehicle was not recovered within thirty (30) days following the report. CONDITIONS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS The LoJack Unit is permanently installed in the original owner’s Commercial Vehicle and cannot be transferred to another vehicle. All LoJack warranties are limited to the original retail purchaser and are not transferable. Purchaser must comply with all the terms of this warranty. To obtain service under the Limited Parts and Labor Warranty, you may contact your LoJack account manager or telephone LoJack at 877-775-6522. You must present your vehicle and dated proof of purchase at the time of service. LoJack Units and parts which have been replaced or with respect to which the Limited Recovery Warranty has been applied, may be removed from Purchaser’s vehicle or deactivated. Upon recovery of a stolen LoJack-equipped Commercial Vehicle, LoJack Corporation may, at its option, require a physical inspection of the LoJack Unit to verify working condition and revalidate this warranty. A LoJack-equipped Commercial Vehicle which has been stolen and recovered shall not qualify for the LoJack Limited Recovery Warranty unless the LoJack Unit has been inspected and the warranty has been revalidated. This warranty does not cover any LoJack product, which may have been installed, removed, serviced or modified by anyone other than a LoJack Certified Technician. This warranty does not cover damage which results from faulty or leaky batteries, accident, misuse, abuse or damage caused by conditions in the vehicle, or improper voltage, or from fire, flood, lightning or other acts of God. This warranty does not cover and LoJack has no responsibility for the loss of the contents contained in a Commercial Vehicle (including a trailer) if it is stolen. This warranty shall be null and void if it is determined that the report to the police of the theft of the LoJack-equipped Commercial Vehicle was false or erroneous. LoJack reserves the right to make changes in design and improvements upon its products without assuming any obligation to install such changes upon any of its products previously manufactured or installed.
{00003941.DOC ; 2} LOJACK FOR TRAILERS UNIT ONLY – The battery in your LoJack for Trailers Unit has a useful life of three (3) years or one (1) activation and must be replaced at your sole cost and expense by a Certified LoJack Technician not later than three years after the date of installation or after one activation for continued effectiveness. Your failure to have the battery replaced by a Certified LoJack Technician after the earlier of three (3) years or one (1) activation will cause the LoJack for Trailers Unit to become inoperable and such LoJack for Trailers Unit will be deactivated and deregistered from the LoJack vehicle database and your trailer will no longer be protected. Any LoJack product which malfunctions after the expiration of the warranty period will be removed or repaired at the owner’s expense. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH ABOVE, NO OTHER WARRANTIES ARE EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND LOJACK CORPORATION EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE ON LOJACK PRODUCTS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE. IN THE EVENT THAT A LOJACK PRODUCT PROVES TO BE DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE PURCHASER’S SOLE REMEDY SHALL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT SHALL LOJACK CORPORATION BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE OR DAMAGE WHETHER DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE RESULTING FROM BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE, WITH RESPECT TO ANY LOJACK PRODUCT, EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation or incidental or consequential damages, or do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

FOR PURCHASERS IN NEW JERSEY, CALIFORNIA, TEXAS, MARYLAND AND VIRGINIA: THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, THE NEW JERSEY DIVISION OF THE STATE POLICE, THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, THE COUNTY AND CITY OF SAN DIEGO, THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE COUNTY AND CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO AND THE SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE CITY OF SAN JOSE AND THE SAN JOSE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE HOUSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA AND THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICE, THE STATE OF MARYLAND AND THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICE ARE NOT PARTIES TO THE SALES AGREEMENT RELATING TO THIS PRODUCT AND THEY DO NOT WARRANT, GUARANTEE, ASSURE OR OTHERWISE MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR ENDORSEMENTS REGARDING THE USE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR YOUR USE, OR OPERATION OF THIS PRODUCT OR THE LOJACK STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM OR ANY OF ITS COMPONENT PARTS. THE STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM CONTRACT BETWEEN LOJACK AND EACH OF THE ABOVE AGENCIES IS FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS AND LOJACK MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE PRINCIPAL OPERATOR OF A STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE INITIAL TERM OF THIS CONTRACT. FOR PURCHASERS IN NEW YORK: YOUR GUARANTEE OF LOJACK’S EFFECTIVENESS IS PROVIDED EXCLUSIVELY BY THE LOJACK CORPORATION. THE NEW YORK STATE POLICE AND THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE WILL MONITOR THE LOJACK FREQUENCY UNDER FIVE (5) YEAR AND 5 1/2 YEAR AGREEMENTS WITH THE LOJACK CORPORATION. UPON EXPIRATION, THESE AGREEMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO REVIEW FOR RENEWAL. THESE AGREEMENTS DO NOT OBLIGATE THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO RECOVER ANY PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT. THE STATE OF NEW YORK, THE NEW YORK STATE POLICE, THE CITY OF NEW YORK, AND THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ARE NOT PARTIES TO THE SALES AGREEMENT AND THEY DO NOT WARRANT, GUARANTEE, ASSURE OR OTHERWISE MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR OPERATION OF THE LOJACK STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM OR ANY OF ITS COMPONENT PARTS. IMPORTANT FCC NOTICE This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including any interference that may cause undesired operation. The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System is a law enforcement tool which transmits information on a radio frequency reserved for law enforcement use. The type of radio signal used by LoJack is classified as “wide band” by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC has mandated that all law enforcement and emergency radio frequency users switch from wide band to narrow band radio transmissions by May 27, 2019. Unless that date is subsequently changed, your LoJack Unit will cease to function on that date. This Certificate entitles the holders of LoJack extended warranty certificates and the original owners of LoJack-equipped commercial vehicles to a new, fully warranted, narrow band replacement LoJack Unit for a service fee of $100. You may request installation of your replacement LoJack Unit at any time during the one year period beginning eight months before the effective date of the FCC mandate. If the effective date does not change, the one-year replacement period would begin on September 30, 2018. Just call 1-800-LOJACK to arrange for installation.
