Thank you for buying our BM-IOI Baby Monitotx The Baby's unit is a transmitter
that sends your baby’s sounds to the parent’s unit. This system can help you carrying
out your daily activities and monitoring your baby at the same time. Both the Parent's
and Baby's Units are dual powered (either by a 9 volt battery or AC adapter) and
portable.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS
BABY MONITOR AND KEEP THIS MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
CAUTION : The Baby Monitor is not meant to replace proper adult supervision. You
should check your child’s activity at regular intervals. As this monitor will not alert
parents to the silent activities of a child.
FCC INFORMATION
This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions ;
1. This device may not cause harmful interference.
2. This device must accept any interference that may cause undesired operation.
WARNING : Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the
party responsible for compliance could Void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment,
This device may cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To
determine whether it is causing the interference, simply turn it offl If the interference
disappears, it is the source of interference.
Try to eliminate the interference by :
1. Moving the monitor away from the receiver.
2. Consult dealer for help.
If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using your
monitor.
WARNING : Keep all parts of this monitor out of the reach of children! Do not
mount in or on crib!

Power up the unit :
0 AC Power — lnsen the adapter connector into the AC adapter jack on the Parent’s
unit and plug the adapter into a nearby household socket
0 Battery — Open the battety door, take out the battery snap and connect it to a 9V
battery. Put the sub—assembly back into the unit and close the battery door.
0 Activate the Unit — Switch on the unit by turning the Power/Volume Knob. The
lowest LED will be lighted up indicating the unit is activated.
Volume Adjustment :
0 Tum the PowerNolume Knob to adjust the audio output at a suitable listening
level to make sure you can hear your baby at all times.
Note : At the lowest volume setting, the unit will be Oh“ but the sound will be silent.
We strongly recommend that sound is always on, even at the lowest levels.
LED Sound Level Indicator :
0 The top four LEDs showing the sound level coming from your baby.
0 You can realize the loudness level of your baby’s sound by the number of LEDs
lighted up. It is most effective if you are in a noisy environment & may not be
able to hear the sounds clearly.
Power/Low Battery Indicator :
0 The lowest LED will be on and remain red when operating with sufficient power
supply.
0 It will change to green (at battery operated mode) if the battery needs to be
replaced. Use the AC power until you replace the battery, or stop using this
system to monitor your baby.
Out of Range lndicator :
0 The fifih (green) LED (from the top) tums on when the unit is either out of the
receivable range or blocked You have to adjust your working position back to
the receivable range.
Channel Selection :
O This Monitor can broadcast over two frequencies (channels). You can set both
units to either 1 or 2 channel by switching the channel knob to avoid static or
noise interference.

0 This is a built-in antenna that requires no adjustment,

Power up the unit :
0 AC Power — Insert the adapter connector into the AC adapter jack on the Baby’s
unit and plug the adapter into a nearby household socket
0 Rnttery — Open the battery dmr‘ take out the battery snap and cnnnect it tn 2 0V
battery. Put the sub-assembly back into the unit and close the battery door.
0 Activate the Unit — Switch the power knob to ‘On’ position and note the red
LED will go on.

0 This Monitor can broadcast over two preset frequencies (channels). You can set
both units to either 1 or 2 channel by switching the channel knob to avoid static
or noise interference.
Antenna : This is a built-in antenna that requires no adius'tment
CONNECTING THE AC ADAPTER
Power the system from a standard AC outlet using the supplied 9V 200mA AC
adapter.
CAUTIONS : You must use a Class 2 power source that supplies 9V DC and delivers
at least 200an. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit the system’s
DC 9V jack. The supplied adapter meets these specifications Using an adapter that
does not meet these specifications could damage the system or the adapter.
Always connect the AC adapter to the system before you connect it to the AC power.
When you finish, disconnect the adapter from AC power before you disconnect it
from the system
OPERATION
0 Power up both units (by AC adapter or battery).
0 Set both units to the same channel (I or 2).
0 Switch on the baby’s unit and place it near the baby
Place the parent’s unit on a flat surface or clip it to your belt (depending on your
working conditions) and adjust the volume to a comfortable sound level.
Make sure the out of range indicator is off indicating the parent’s unit is working
within the receivable range.
0 Test the monitor with a partner to ensure both units are working properly. One
adult speaks sofily into the baby’s unit from the position/distance of the baby to
be monitored. another adult listens to the parent’s unit in various pans of the
house to ensure that the units remain within range of one another.
0 Try to use AC adapter whenever possible,
TIPS : The baby unit is using 49 MHz frequency for transmission which may be
interrupted by nearby objects. Therefore, try to move the units (both mother & baby
units) a little bit forward or backward for better transmission & reception.
DO NOT PLACE UNIT IN CRIB OR MOUNT ON CRIB. KEEP OUT OF REACH
OF CHILDREN.
