High Accuracy and Superior Image Quality
Equipped with a Canon patented magnetic-head, the
CR-55 and CR-25 check transports read MICR code line
data with high accuracy for reduced transaction errors.
These powerful check scanners support E13B and CMC7
MICR standards and include built-in OCR functionality.
Bundled IQA (Image Quality Assurance) software ensures
high-quality image capture in accordance with Check 21
standards. By verifying the check image quality at the time
of presentment, passing along unusable images and costly
processing delays can be avoided.

A New Paradigm of Performance for
Check Truncation
To help satisfy a variety of business applications, Canon’s
CR-55/CR-25 check transports offer seven programmable
scanning modes in black and white, grayscale, or color, as
well as resolutions of up to 300 dpi for optimum image
reproduction. Capture valuable check data from difficult-to-

scan items with Adaptive Threshold Mode, which detects
and removes excessive background effects such as security
pentagrams or watermarks. This image processing technology is exclusive to Canon and provides superb clarity
and detail while minimizing file size.
The CR-55 check transport can scan up to 55 checks or
110 images per minute,* an industry-leading performanceto-size ratio. The CR-25 check transport can scan up to 25
checks or 50 images per minute.* Overall check processing
costs are reduced due to less errors, and transactions are
captured as quickly as they occur, minimizing manual key-in
and customer wait time.
