An unparalleled pallet of colors!

With a 12-color ink set that includes cyan,

photo cyan, magenta, photo magenta, yellow,

red, green, and blue plus four monochromatic

shades—black, matte black, gray, and photo-

gray—these printers deliver a broad gamut

for greater tonal range and more precise

reproduction of color.

• The 12-color advantage: Canon’s 12-color

system enables a wide color gamut with

an extraordinary range of depth and tone,

empowering you to produce images with

vibrant saturated colors, subtle hues,

smooth transitions, and deep shadows.

• Red, Green, and Blue: These colors

expand the color space while significantly

improving saturation levels for the additive

primary colors.

• Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta, Gray,

and Photo Gray: These colors help

smooth color transitions, reduce graini-

ness, and maintain a neutral gray balance

for better overall image quality.

• Four monochromic shades: A greater

black to white tonal range is enabled for

more dramatic light to dark contrast and

better mid-tone clarity. Black density on

coated and uncoated media is optimized

because the printer will automatically

select the appropriate black ink based

on the type of media being used.

ARCHIVAL LUCIA INKS

Canon’s specially formulated LUCIA

pigment inks have outstanding archival

characteristics. By coating each pigment

particle with a special polymer compound

Canon has increased the ink’s resistance

to fading and scratching. These specially

for mulated inks also improve image quality

by reducing graininess and bronzing, so

prints look great from every angle.

At the core of the iPF6100 and iPF6200

printers is the L-COA processor. This is a

unique Canon innovation that intelligently

directs output data through the dual,

high-density print-heads, each with 2,560

nozzles per color for a total of 30,720

nozzles. Each print-head deposits ink on

the media with both speed and accuracy.

By combining high-speed, precision imaging

with superfine 4pl ink droplets and print

resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 dpi, these

large-format printers are built to efficiently

produce a full range of color-rich images

and complex graphics demanded by fine art

applications and professional photographers.

HIGH-CAPACITY 80GB HARD DRIVE

(iPF6200 ONLY)

For busy work groups and production printing

environments, Canon offers the iPF6200

model, equipped with an 80GB hard drive that

has 30 individual Mail Boxes, support for up

to 500 job records, and enhanced security

features to help protect sensitive materials.

The extra-large hard drive maximizes

productivity by relieving the workload from

an operator’s host computer while providing

more capacity for print job data storage and

retrieval so multiple copies and reprints can

be made without resending the job files.

SYSTEM CALIBRATION—SIMPLIFIED

Unlike the complex and time-consuming

calibration normally required in professional

settings, these printers offer a simplified

process that enables easy recalibration

back to the original, optimal factory set-

tings across all the printer’s media types—

in just minutes.

KYUANOS: CANON’S NEXT-GENERATION

COLOR MATCHING PLATFORM

Kyuanos is a high-precision color matching

engine developed by Canon. This underlying

technology supports rich color expression

across a wide spectrum of input and out-

put formats and enables advanced color

management functions such as Ambient

Light Adjustment, which optimizes output

for more predictable and consistent color

perception in the lighting conditions of an

modes for proofing, photo, and mono-

chrome output and even supports remote

job processing and printing. Other features

include nesting, validation printing, one-click

A wide range of compatible third-party RIPs and software

solutions are also available for the iPF6100 and iPF6200

The Print Plug-ins for Photoshop and Digital

Photo Professional enable 16-bit image pro-

them into software applications such as

PosterArtist and Adobe Photoshop. The

system’s wide color gamut and durable

imagePROGRAF printer’s high-resolution 2400
