Weight Scale
Hints on Taking Your Weight
1 Place the scale on an even, flat surface
(carpet, tile, linoleum).
2. Tap the scale in the center with one foot
and wait until 0.00 appears on the display.
3. Step on scale (display will flicker). If “Err”
display appears, step off and wait till the display
shuts down and start all over again.
4. Remain still without moving your arm and body
and your weight measurement will appear
on the display. The scale will automatically
shut off after displaying your weight after
several seconds.
5. Important! Before using your scale for the
first time (or if you have moved it), step “on
and off” the scale once to activate the auto
zeroing feature. Your scale is now ready
to use.
5. Never submerge the scale under water.
To clean the scale surface, use a soft,
damp cloth or glass cleaner.
Helpful Hints
Your scale is a precision electronic instrument.
One of the hardest things to weigh is the
human body because it is always in motion.
Therefore the best accuracy attainable is 99%
of total body weight. To ensure reliable
readings, always try to place your feet on the
scale in the same place and stand still.

Battery Installation
1. Open the battery compartment cover on the
underside of the scale
2. When the compartment is opened, insert one 9V
battery in the compartment, making sure it snaps
in properly.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover on the
main unit.
Notes:
1. If the LCD display or the functioning of the unit is
not normal after changing the batteries, take out
the batteries and place them again correctly in the
battery compartment.
2. Since the first batteries are monitor batteries that
are installed at the time of shipment from the
factory, they may become exhausted before the
life of new battery.
Care and Maintenance
1. Because this unit uses precision parts, care
should be taken to avoid extremes in temperature
variations, humidity, shock, dust and direct
sunlight.
2. Do not open or take apart the scale or its
components. There are no user
serviceable parts.
3. Do not drop or strike this unit.
4. Do not kick the scale.
6. The scale is durable but misuse or abuse
may render the electronic sensors
inoperable.
7. If the unit is to be stored for a long period, be sure
to remove the batteries before storage.
