Battery Installation
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on your mouse by pressing the
central of the mouse and slid away the cap. (Fig. 1, 1-1)
2. Put 2 AAA Alkaline batteries as their proper polarities. (Fig. 1-2)
3. Push the cap back till you hear a click.
! Caution
Insure of the proper polarity of batteries.
Insure of the battery type. (AAA, Alkaline 1.5 V)
Always take out the battery before a long-period storage.
Hardware Installation
1. Connect the mini receiver to any available USB port or hub on your
computer directly. (Fig. 2-1)
2. You may use the USB extension cable to place the receiver in a better
place for receiving.
3. Switch on the mouse. (Fig. 3)
Driver Installation
1. Insert the driver CD into your CD Rom Drive. The installation should start
automatically.
2. If auto-run failed, click on the Start Manu. Open the “Run” window. Type in
“E:/setup.exe”. (Check the name of your CD Rom Drive)
3. Select the language you want for this installation and follow the instructions
on the screen. (Fig. 4)
4. You may be required inserting the Windows 98 CD during the installation.
5. When the installation completes, you should be able to see an icon on the
right hand side of the task bar.
Pairing
1. Press the “connect” button of the receiver. The LED of the receiver will light
up.
2. Press the “connect” button located on the bottom of the mouse.
3. The LED of the receiver should be turned off and the mouse should work
properly now. If the mouse is still not working properly, please repeat step 1
and 2.
4. You are required to repeat pairing process whenever you change the
batteries or remove the battery cap.
Note:
Users are required to do pairing again when every time you change the
receivers.
Program mouse buttons
You may go to control panel and click on the “mouse” icon, or double click the
mouse icon on the task bar to program your mouse buttons.
Setup for multiple users
If you have two or more RF mice, you may setup the second user 30 seconds
after setting up for the first user to avoid the interference.
Environment
The following may shorten the effective distance or drop the performance:
1. To avoid the mouse usage on a metal, reflecting or half tone painted
surface. For instance: mirror, glass, or 3D mouse pad… etc.
2. To avoid obstacles between the mouse and the receiver.
3. To keep at least 1.5 meters from other RF devices.
Troubleshooting
Check if the distance is out of the working range.
Make sure the mouse is switched on.
Check your mouse pad. A metal, reflecting or half tone painted mouse
pad may interfere the performance of the mouse.
ID may not be set up properly. Redo pairing.
Others
System requirement: Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP.
Window 98 CD disk may be required during the installation of the driver.
