It enables users to communicate with each other through different devices and to enjoy the service totally wirelessly with most conveniences. Plug the Charger into electric outlet. Connect the Headset and Charger as picture shown below. The Red LED will light up. 2. When the battery is fully charged, the Red LED of Headset will switch off. Pairing Operation 1. The Headset must be powered off before initiating pairing. To initiate pairing, make sure the Headset is in power off mode first, press and hold S1 button for 6 seconds until the Blue and Red LEDs of Headset are flashing alternatively. If the user is wearing the Headset during the pairing process, she/he will hear two short high tones of “Do” when the Headset is ready for pairing. 6 seconds to enter pairing Note: The Headset is embedded with a rechargeable battery. For the first time usage, it takes about 4 hours to fully charge the battery, and 2 hours afterward. With Battery fully charged, the talk-time can be up to 8 hours, and the stand-by time can be up to 140 hours. ● 2. Initial pairing process of your mobile phone. XXXXXXXX The Headset can’t be used while it’s in charging mode. ● Turn On / Off 1. When power off, to turn on the Headset, press and hold S1 button for 3 seconds. The Blue LED of Headset flashes. The user can hear a low tone of “Do” if wearing Headset. 3 seconds to turn on 2. When power on, to turn off the Headset, press and hold S1 button for 3 seconds. The Red LED flashes quickly. Then, the Headset is powered off. The user can hear a low tone of “Do” if wearing Headset. Note: The Red LED of Headset will flash slowly while low battery. ● 3 seconds to turn off 3. You will be asked to enter pin-code to complete pairing, enter 1234 and confirm it. The Red LED of Headset will turn off and the Blue LED will flash quickly after pairing completed successfully. Note: ● The 1234 is default pin-code pre-stored in Headset. Enter 1234 4. After pairing, the Blue LED of Headset will quickly flash. If with reference design in your mobile phone, you can find a symbol of headset / handsfree function. Note: ● If the Headset is not in pairing mode, your mobile phone won’t find the Headset. Please set the Headset in pairing mode before enabling your mobile phone to search for the headset. If no pairing happened in a period of time, approximately three minutes, the Headset will automatically power on and the previous pairing, if any, is revoked. You may need to repeat steps 1 to 3 until pairing succeeds. ● English English Getting Started Function Phone Call Operation Transfer Press and hold S1 button for 3 seconds to transfer the call to mobile phone while talking on the Headset. If you want to transfer the call back to Headset, press S1 button again. Voice Dialing If your mobile phone supports Voice Dialing Function, you can start or record the voice commands, and press S1 for 1 second to start the voice control through the Headset. Function Answer and End Calls Operation Operation 1. When the Headset is powered on and the mobile phone rings, you will hear a buildin musical tone and certain phones will still have a ring tone. Press S1 button to answer the call. 2. Press and hold S2 button for 3 seconds to reject the call. The opposite side will hear the message of voice box. 3. Adjust Headset Volume by clicking S1 button to increase the volume and by clicking S2 button to decrease the volume. Users can adjust the volume through volume bar/buttons of mobile phone as well. Chat on VoIP 4. End calls by pressing and holding S2 button for 3 seconds. Make Calls You are able to use the Headset to make calls when it is paired successfully with your mobile phone. When your mobile phone has paired with Headset or other devices, you can hear a ring tone while calling. Connect with a PC or PDA You are allowed to connect the Headset with a Bluetooth enabled Desktop, Laptop, or PDA that is with Audio Gateway Profiles supported. Please refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth enabled devices for setup information. Using VoIP Once connected with Bluetooth enabled Desktop, Laptop, or PDA that is with internet connection and with Audio Gateway Profile supported, Bluetooth headset can be used as the microphone and speaker of your original VoIP system, such as Skype, MSN Messenger…etc. 1. Using phone keys – Dial the numbers on the mobile phone as you usually do. Once the call has been set up, the voice will be transmitted to Headset automatically. 2. Redial – Press and hold S2 button for 3 seconds to redial the last number you called. Note: Due to the different design of some mobile phones, an auto-disconnect may happen even when the Headset is powered on. In that case, the Headset won’t ring when there is an incoming call. Press S1 button to reconnect the Headset with mobile phone for an incoming call. ● English English Important Information About Pairing Product Care - What is pairing? - Use of non-original accessories may result in performance deterioration, injury, products’ damage, electronic shock, and warranty termination. - Attempt to disassemble the Headset may damage it, and the warranty will be void. - Always store the Headset with the power turned off. - Avoid exposing to direct sunlight or other heat source. - Do not expose the Headset to water or other liquids. - Do not put the Headset in a dusty place. - Use only a clean soft cloth to clean the Headset. - Do not place the Headset in an extremely hot or cold temperature. The Headset will hence be unable to work for a while. Children Do not allow children to play with Headset, as the small parts of Headset may cause a chocking hazard for Children, and Headset may be damaged as well. Charger - The charger is designed for indoor usage only. Do not use it for outdoors. - The charger must be connected to the designed power sources as marked. - When removing the charger form an outlet, never pull the charger cord, as it may damage the charger. Battery Information - New Battery For the first time usage, please charge battery for at least 4 hours. - Battery Care 1. Only qualified Service Centers are authorized to remove or replace the battery. 2. The rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated with care. 3. The battery can only be charged in a temperature range of -10oC to 45oC . 4. Use the battery in room temperature for maximum battery capacity. 5. The battery capacity may be reduced if operating in a cold environment. 6. The Headset has to be recharged every two months, when it is not in use during a long time. 10 Pairing is a process of associating Bluetooth devices with each other. It will establish a permanent security link between the devices and enable quick access to the services provided without the need to enter passkeys. - Bluetooth Passkey Each Headset has a default passkey 1234 for pairing, which is stored in its internal memory. Users are usually required to enter the passkey 1234 in a pairing process with a Bluetooth mobile or other devices, however it depends on the kind of Bluetooth device that the headset is connected to. Please refer to the user manual of the devices for the specific operation. Note: ● The paired devices remain paired even when both of the devices are powered off, or when a service connection is interrupted or stopped. Introduction to Bluetooth Technology Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology. It allows wireless connections between Bluetooth devices such as cellular phones, personal digital assistants (PDA), desktops, laptops, input/output devices (mouse, keyboard, and printer), and home appliances. Bluetooth refers to a worldwide standard designed to operate in the internationally recognized ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) frequency band. Within the ISM band (2.4GHz - 2.48GHz), Bluetooth transmissions hop between 79 separated frequencies 1,600 times every second, and with a communication range of about 10 meters (Class II). 11 English English FAQ & Trouble Shooting 1. The Headset cannot be activated after being charged for 20 minutes. To activate the Headset, it needs to charge the battery at least for 40 minutes. However, it is highly recommended to fully charge the battery before usage. 2. No sound contact between Headset and other devices. - Make sure that the two devices have been paired. - Make sure that the Headset is turned on. - Make sure that the two devices are within a working range. - Make sure that your mobile phone is within signal strength. - Some Bluetooth mobile phones can support only one Bluetooth Headset or handsfree. Disconnection may happen when there is more than one headset or handsfree paired with your mobile phone. 3. Why doesn’t the Headset work with mobile phone after the Headset has been fully charged and switched on? User has to activate the Bluetooth function of her/his mobile phone first and pair it with the Headset, and set it as headset/ handsfree of her/his mobile phone. 4. Does the Headset work with all types of mobile phone? No, it works only with Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. 5. What is the operation distance between the Headset and a Bluetooth mobile phone? The Bluetooth Stereo Headset is fully complaint to Bluetooth Version 2.0+EDR, Class II, Headset / Handsfree profiles. The maximum operation distance can be up to 10 meters (33 feet). However, it will be affected and shortened by different circumstances and designs of different brands of mobile phones. Some mobile phones are with less operative distance. In general, the operative range can be longer in spaces without obstacles. 6. When the mobile phone was searching for the Headset, why did several Bluetooth devices appear on my mobile phone? Most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones with Bluetooth function activated can search for more than one Bluetooth device within operating range. 12 7. Why can’t the mobile phone find the Headset? If the Headset is not in pairing mode, the mobile phone won’t find the Headset. Please set the Headset into pairing mode before starting the mobile phone to search for the Headset. (Please refer to the User Manual for detailed instructions.) 8. Does user need to pair the Headset with her/his mobile phone every time she/he uses it? No. Once the pairing is set up between the two devices, they will remain paired even when one or both devices are powered off. 9. Why is there a disturbance noise coming from the Headset? The performance of the Headset will be affected by two factors 1) Whether the mobile phone is in a good signal area. If the mobile phone is in weak signal area, the user won’t hear clearly with the Headset. 2) Whether it is in the operative range. 10. What should the user do when she/he can’t hear very well with the Headset? Adjust the sound volume on the mobile phone, or press the S1 button of the Headset to increase volume, or check if the mobile phone is in a good signal area. 11. Why doesn’t the Headset work suddenly? 1) The Headset may have run out of battery. 2) Some Bluetooth mobile phones, which have a problem with the Bluetooth implementation, will occasionally but not often, get into a Bluetooth shutdown status in unpredictable circumstances. When this happens, please reset your mobile phone by moving the battery. Make sure that the phone has the latest version of firmware loaded onto it. Please check the website of the mobile phone for new firmware. 12. Why doesn’t the voice dialing function work with the Headset? You may have to record your voice with the Headset to your mobile phone. 13. Why does the working time/standby time of my mobile phone with Headset differ from the specification? If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. 14 Warranty The Manufacturer warrants that the Bluetooth Headset shall confirm to her published specifications, which maybe subject to change, and remain free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal, proper and intended use within warranty time, provide that proof of purchase be furnished with any returned equipment. During the warranty period, if any component part of the equipment becomes defective by reason of material or workmanship, the manufacturer is immediately notified of such defect. The manufacturer shall supply a replacement part or request return of equipment, freight prepaid, and its designed facility for repair. In the event that no fault is found on a product returned for repair, the manufacturer reserves the right to charge the customer its standard published repair charge. This warranty shall not apply to any product that has been subject to misuse, bending, twisting, neglect, alteration, improper installation, operation outside of the parameters of the published specification, use in any non-approved countries or unauthorized repair performed by anyone other than a designed repair facility. Any non-warranty repairs or maintains shall be at the manufacturer's standard rates in effect at the time. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed, implied, or statutory, including but no limited to, implied warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
