CenTrak Hygiene Monitor IT‐373A* • • • • • IT‐373A CenTrak Hygiene Monitor Automatically tracks hand hygiene compliance at the caregiver level Collects data on all events at hand washing stations Mounts to any alcohol or soap dispenser Multiple mechanisms to activate the dispenser including trigger (level switch), proximity and motion sensor Works in conjunction with CenTrak’s full RTLS and with CenTrak’s Hand Hygiene Badges. The CenTrak Hygiene Compliance System leverages the Hygiene Monitor to automatically monitor usage by caregivers along with their entry and exit to patient care areas. It eliminates costly manual monitoring and identified and proactively alerts caregivers who enter patient care environments without proper hand hygiene, to assist in compliance and behavior modification. The battery powered IT‐373A Hygiene Monitors can be mounted to any dispenser, canister, or pump to track their usage. It automatically communicates a specific caregiver’s badge ID and entry to an exit from patient care areas along with hand hygiene events, based upon hospital determined compliance business rules. The Hygiene Monitor communicates each event to the network which records each caregiver’s compliance performance. All of the recorded data is stored on CenTrak’s local or hosted server and can be accessed by third party compliance management and reporting solutions. IT‐373A CenTrak Hygiene Monitor shown attached to a dispenser The Red and Green LED indicators work by flashing a red light when the dispenser is activated and then by flashing a green light to indicate the monitor and Tag have interacted and the Tag ID has been received. There is also a tamper proof button on the back of the Hygiene Monitor, that if removed from a dispenser sends an alert to the system. The IT‐373A captures all hand hygiene events whether or not a caregiver is in direct line of sight of the Hygiene Monitor using a combination of technologies. Unlike other solutions hand hygiene compliance solutions, CenTrak is able to capture 100% of clinical hand washing events without errors. The battery operation and the simple mounting mechanism allows for quick and low cost installation of the device at hand hygiene stations.
