One-Step Installation
Your battery 15 shlpped from the factory in a sleep
mode Vou must use an RF remote control transmitter
key fob that comes with your battery to activate the bat»
tery and security system (Your DieHard Arm—Theft
Security System can also be programmed With compat—
ible Craftsman' garage door remotes)
Refer to the 4diglt Battery ldentlfication Number (BIN)
code on the battery label The BIN IS your personal secu-
rity code. For your securlty, remove this label and apply
to the perlorated card in this guide. Keep this card With
you in case you lose your remote or need to reprogram
the system,
Do not keep your BlN code label in the car or leave on
the battery.

For example, for a BlN code that is 1234, you would
press and hold the program button until you hear i
beep, release; press it for Z beeps, release, press rt for 3
beeps, release, press rt for 4 beeps, release

Using The Anti-Theft Immobilizer Function
Activating the system.
To activate the anti—theft rmmobrlrzing function, Simply
press the button on your remote once. The remote con»
trol range is approximately 301m.

This accommodates time-delays for your automobiles
accessories, like dome lights, headlights, etc.
If there's an attempt to start your vehicle while the sys-
tem is armed, the battery will automatically cut off
power to the starting system. The engine wrll turn over,
but stop immediately. If three attempts are made to start
the engine, the battery cuts off power to all electrical
systems.

If someone tries to remove or damage the module or

Emergency Override Instructions

Il you lose your remote control fob, you can manually
override the battery's immobilizing function by iollow-
ing these steps:
Press and hold the program button on the battery.
Count the beeps and release the button after the num
ber of beeps equals each digit in your BIN code Repeat
for each digit The module Will beep 6 times to
acknowledge the entry. The lmmoblllzrng feature rs now
dlsarmed.
You can re-prograrn compatible keyless remote control
lobs to accept the BlN code by pressing the button on the
fob in the order of the BIN code and then press the Enter
button The module wrlI respond With 6 rapid beeps to
acknowledge the code.

Power Saver Function
The DteHard Gold Antl—Thelt Battery also protects you
from accidental battery power discharge. If you leave your
lights on, or If there is another unexpected power draw
that can affect starting, the battery erI automatically dis-
connect the electrical systems to conserve power and pre-
vent discharging. You'll know it IS l" Power Saver If your
dome lights and other EleCUOHtC accessories don’t oper-
ate Also, the engine Will not turnover
To reconnect the battery systems, press the remote control
button once The system wrll beep twrce to signal that it is
reconnected. Follow this procedure whether the battery
immobilizing system is in an armed or disarmed mode.
It the immobilizer was armed before tl went into Power
Saver, it will return in an armed state Press your remote
once more to disarm
Vou can also reconnect the battery train the Power
Saver function by pressing the program button on the
battery module once It will beep tWice to signal that it’s
reconnected.
If your system switches to the Power Saver mode often
or tor no apparent reason, it may mean that the battery
is nearing the end ol its life, there’s a problem With your
vehicle’s charging system, or you have too many acces-
sories drawing power Have your serwce technician
check your vehicle’s electrical system.
Vehicle Storage Mode
If you want to store your vehicle for an extended period
of time, you can disionnect the battery Without remov-
ing it from the vehicle
First, press and release the battery program button The
module will respond with a single beep. Then press the
button on your remote control Within 5 seconds. You'll
hear two sets 01 6 rapid beats The module Will then
enter into a sleep mode,
To take out of Storage mode, push and release the bat
tery program button. You'll hear 2 beeps. it the immo—
billzing feature was activated when you put the battery
in Vehicle Storage Mode, you'll hear one beep. The
immobilizing feature wtll remain active until you disarm rt.
Memory Erase Function
It for some reason you want to erase the memory in your
remote control fob so that it won’t operate With your
battery, follow these steps’
Make sure the battery immobilizrng feature ls drsarmed,
Press and release program button on battery it will beep
twt(e. Enter BIN code by pressing and releasing the bat~
tery program button The battery module Will beep
twrce.
Press and hold program button for 11 beeps. The mod-
ule will beep three times. The memon/ tn your remote
control |s now erased. The battery immobilizing features
remains disarmed, To set up another remote control lob,
follow the rnstallation instructions
Jump Start Instructions
If you use your vehicle to Jump start another vehicle, or
you are jump starting your vehicle, remember to disarm
the immobilizing function.
