2 Advantages of the CyBo@rd Plus
The CyBo@rd Plus consists of the keyboard, the mouse
and the wireless receiver for both devices, Depending on
your specific workplace conditions, it allows you to place
your PC at a typical distance 015 m from your workspace

keyboard offers the following additional fundions:

4 Setup and connection of the devices
4,1 Setup of the frequency channels and ID
codes
Default setting
When your CyBo@rd Pius Is delivered, the frequency
channel (2450 MHz, channel 10) and ID code (no. 0) are
preset tor the receiver. keyboard and mouse.
This default setting must only be changed if someone else
is working with the same keyboard and mouse model in
your area (Le. within the transmit range of the device) and
has their devices set to the same frequency and ID code.
Eight DIP switches are used to set the frequency channels
and ID codes (switch positions: "on”of "m, Sixteen
frequency channel settings are possible using DIP switches
1 - 4 and sixteen ID codes are possible using snatches 5-8,
The switch settings must be identical on all three devices
(keyboard, mouse. receiver).

If multiple Cyfio@ard Plus mills are to be used within I
typical radius of 5 m of each cuter
if multiple devices of the same model are used within 5 m of
each other on the same frequency, malfunctions can occur
with the transmission of wireless signals
To set a dlrrerent frequency channel I In code on the
receiver
1 Open the cover on the underside of the wireless receiver.
2 Using a pointed object set the DIP switches 1-4 to a
position which is not used by any other persons working
in your area,
3 it all frequency channel possibilities have already been
used (see table), use DIP switches 5-8 to change the ID
code.
To set a different frequency channel / ID code on the
keyboard
1 Open the battery companment on the underside of the
wireless keyboard.
2 Set all switches to exactly the same setting as the
receiver.
To set a different frequency channel I ID code on the
mouse
1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the
wireless mouse.
2 Set all swimhes to exactly the same setting as the
receiver and keyboard.
4.2 Connecting the devices
To connect the receiver to your PC via a PSIZ
connection
Preconditionzvour PC must be switched off.
1 Locate the two round 6-pln PS/2 connections for the
keyboard and mouse on the back of your PC.

2 Connect the purple plug of the receiver to the purple-
marked PS/2 connection for the keyboard.
3 Connect the green plug of the reoeiverto the green-
marked P512 connection tor the mouse.
4 Switch on the PC.
To prepare the keyboard for use
1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the
wireless keyboard
2 Insert the two included batteries, type LRS (AA). into the
housing.
3 Close the cover.
To prepare the mouee for use
1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the
wireless mouse.
2 Insert the two included batteries. type LR03 (AAA). into
the housing.
3 Close the cover.
5 Installing the KeyMan software under
Windows 95/98/NT4.0/2000/ME
To Install the software
Precondltlon: The wireless receiver must be connected to
your PC. The wireless keyboard and mouse must be ready
for use.
1 Place the Cherry CD in your CD-ROM drive.
The CD-ROM starts automatically, The page Installation
is opened.

If the CD-ROM does not start automatically, select the
CD—ROM drive in the Explorer and double-click with the
Ielt mouse button on the tile startexe.
The page Installation is opened.
2 Click on the Cheny product for which you would like to
install the soMr/are.
Installation begins.
3 Follow the installation instructions on the screen.
