This default setting must only be changed if someone else is working with the same keyboard and mouse model in your area (Le. within the transmit range of the device) and has their devices set to the same frequency and ID code. Eight DIP switches are used to set the frequency channels and ID codes (switch positions: "on”of "m, Sixteen frequency channel settings are possible using DIP switches 1 - 4 and sixteen ID codes are possible using snatches 5-8, The switch settings must be identical on all three devices (keyboard, mouse. receiver). To set a different frequency channel / ID code on the keyboard 1 Open the battery companment on the underside of the wireless keyboard. 2 Set all switches to exactly the same setting as the receiver. To set a different frequency channel I ID code on the mouse 1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the wireless mouse. 2 Set all swimhes to exactly the same setting as the receiver and keyboard. 4.2 Connecting the devices To connect the receiver to your PC via a PSIZ connection Preconditionzvour PC must be switched off. 1 Locate the two round 6-pln PS/2 connections for the keyboard and mouse on the back of your PC. t. 2 Connect the purple plug of the receiver to the purple- marked PS/2 connection for the keyboard. 3 Connect the green plug of the reoeiverto the green- marked P512 connection tor the mouse. 4 Switch on the PC. To prepare the keyboard for use 1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the wireless keyboard 2 Insert the two included batteries, type LRS (AA). into the housing. 3 Close the cover. To prepare the mouee for use 1 Open the battery compartment on the underside of the wireless mouse. 2 Insert the two included batteries. type LR03 (AAA). into the housing. 3 Close the cover. 5 Installing the KeyMan software under Windows 95/98/NT4.0/2000/ME To Install the software Precondltlon: The wireless receiver must be connected to your PC. The wireless keyboard and mouse must be ready for use. 1 Place the Cherry CD in your CD-ROM drive.
