OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Remote control (M) functions: 1. Fan speed control button: To control the ceiling fan speed 1-6 2. Fan off button: To turn the fan off. 3. Reverse function button: To control fan direction. 4. Lighting control button: To control light on and off. 5. CODE setting button: With fan power off, arrange code switched to desired code setting. Turn fan power on. Note: Install the 12-volt battery (not included) to the remote control. Note: The receiver (inside the motor) provides the function of multiplicative protection. 1. Lock position: The DC motor has a built—in safety feature against obstruction during operation. If this occurs, the motor will discontinue operation within 3 seconds of interruption. To reset, simply disable power supply to the fan motor and re-start. 2. Over 80W protection: When the receiver detects power consumption is greater the Bow, the receiver power will be stopped and operation will immediately discontinue. To reset, simply disable power supply to the fan motor and re-start. 3. Blade setup of motor is arranged according to loading condition; please only install approved blades from a certified dealer or this may void the factory warranty. 14 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS A WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: 1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. 2. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. 3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. 4. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Shielded cables must be used with this unit to ensure compliance with the Class B FCC limits. 15
