120Thank you for your purchase of this delicate Wireless Thermoclock. The utmost care has gone into the design andmanufacture of your clock. Please read these instructionscarefully and keep the manual well for future reference.The receiver unit has a clear, easy-to-read display thatshows the time, month, date, day of the week, indoortemperature as well as the outdoor temperature measuredand transmitted from the remote sensors. It is able to receiveand display readings from up to 2 remote sensors.The 915 MHz technology means no wire installation isrequired and you can place the sensors anywhere you like.With radio controlled function, the current time and calendarare automatically synchronized with the time signaltransmitted from USA (WWVB).reasonable protection against harmful interference in aresidential installation. This equipment generates, uses andcan radiate ratio frequency energy and, if not installed andused in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmfulinterference to radio communications.However, there is no guarantee that interference will notoccur in a particular installation. If this equipment doescause harmful interference to radio or television reception,which can be determined by turning the equipment off andon, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interferenceby one or more of the following measures:-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.-Increase the separation between the equipment andreceiver-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuitdifferent from that to which the receiver is connected.-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TVtechnician for help.

Remove the battery door and insert 2 AA size batteriesinto the battery compartment as per the polarityinformation marked on the battery compartment.2. Replace the battery door.3. Press “RESET” key to restart the clock.4. Press “CHANNEL” key to set the desired channel.NOTE:1. The building material and position of receiver andtransmitter affect the effective range. So try variouslocations to obtain the best result.2. Place the units away from metal objects and electricalappliances to minimize the interference. Position thereceiver within the effective transmission range: 330feet (100 meters) in usual circumstances.For the transmitter, fix the separate wall-mounting standoutside in the area protected from direct rain by the screw.Once the stand is mounted, place the transmitter into thestand on the wall. Besides, you can also place it on thedesktop by its table stand.
14 7OPERATING THE TRANSMITTER1. Remove the transmitter from the stand and open thebattery door.2. Insert 2 AA size batteries into the battery compartmentas per the polarity information marked on the batterycompartment.3. Slide “CHANNEL” switch to synchronize the channelwith receiver.4. Press “RESET” key individually by a pin to confirm thechannel setting.5. Replace the battery door.NOTE:1. To receive the transmitter signal, the channels ofreceiver and transmitter must be synchronized.2. Once the channel is assigned to a transmitter, you canonly change it by removing the batteries or resettingthe unit.RECEPTION  OF  RADIO  CONTROLLED  TIME  SIGNALThe time and calendar are radio-controlled. The current timeand calendar are automatically synchronized with the signaltransmitted from USA (WWVB).When used for the first time (after inserting the batteries orpressing “RESET” key), the clock will start to receive thesignals and the reception display will flash in 8 seconds.BATTERY  REPLACEMENTIf the low battery indicator “ ” appears beside the outdoortemperature of main unit, it indicates that you should replacebatteries of transmitter at once.While if the low battery indicator displays beside the indoortemperature, it means that the battery power of main unit isnot enough and you should replace batteries of clockimmediately.NOTE:Attention! 813DAYLIGHT  SAVINGS  TIME (DST)The clock has been programmed to automatically switchwhen the daylight savings time is in effect. Your clock willshow “DST” during the summer.SIGNAL  STRENGTH  INDICATORThe signal indicator displays signal strength in 4 levels.Wave segment flashing means time signals are beingreceived. The signal quality could be classified into 4 types:NOTE:1. The unit will automatically search for the time signal at2:00 (3:00 or 4:00 is also available if the signal wasnot received at 2:00), 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00 each day.2. Always place the unit away from interfering sourcessuch as TV set, computer etc.3. Avoid placing the unit on or next to metal plates.4. Closed area such as airport, basement, tower blockor factory is not recommended.5. Try out where your multifunctional alarmclock receives the signals best.CHECKING & DELETING MAX./MIN. TEMPERATURE RECORDS1. Press “MAX/MIN” key once to check the maximumtemperature records. TIME  ZONE  SETTINGThe default time zone is PACIFIC. If your location is not inthe Pacific, set the time zone as follows:1. In normal time mode, press “TIME” key to enter thealarm time mode.2. Press “UP” key to select the proper time zone: P=PacificM=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern3. Press “TIME” key to save the setting and return tonormal time mode.TIME  AND  CALENDAR  SETTINGIf you are out of reach of the Radio Controlled transmitter orif the reception is not reachable, the time and calendar canbe set manually. As soon as the signal of transmitter isreceived again, the clock will automatically synchronize withthe exact time and calendar.1. Press and hold “TIME” key for 2 seconds until the Yeardigit flashes.2. Press “UP” or “DOWN” key to change its value.3. Press “TIME” key once until the Month digit flashes.4. Press “UP” or “DOWN” key to change its value.2. The temperature pre-alarm can sound 30 minutesearlier than the alarm only when the outdoortemperature is below 26.0°F (-3.0°C).3. If no key is pressed during the alarm period, the clockwill enter the snooze mode automatically. Besides,you can also press “SNOOZE” key once to stop thecurrent alarm and activate the snooze function.4. Once the snooze function is activated, the 4-stepcrescendo alarm will sound 13 times in 5-minuteinterval. The alarm duration is 60 seconds.VIEWING  THE  CHANNELThe default channel is Channel 1.
