21. IntroductionThe Stereo Amplified Neckloop offers users a unique,wireless experience using Bluetooth wireless technology. Itis a model of efficiency, offering hands-free, wirelessconnections between most Bluetooth phones. Smartoutline design and comfortable for wearing. The Neckloop isBluetooth V2.0 compliance. It is backward compatible withaudio devices with V1.2 or earlier. Its operation range is upto 10 meters (indoor); operating power mode is Class 2 (-6-6dBm). It is capable of operating up to 3-hour talk-timeusing with neckloop and 13-hour talk-time using withearhook or earphone. This user s guide provides moredetails.Bluetooth is a specification for short-range radio linksbetween mobile computers, mobile phones, digital camerasand other portable devices. The radio operates on theglobally available 2.45 Ghz ISM free band , allowing usersto use Bluetooth equipment worldwide. 4uWearing the NeckloopuCharging the NeckloopPlace the wire around your neck and insert the roundconnector plug into the Neckloop Quick Disconnect plug,forming a loop.To have the Neckloop operate properly, youwill need to be sure the Quick Disconnect connection jackhas been securely clicked in place.IMPORTANT:The Neckloop has a built-in rechargeable Li-Polymerbattery. It is recommended to fully charge the battery prior tothe first time use of the device.Connect one end of the USB cable into the chargingport of the unit, then connect the other end into the USBjack of base charger. Plug the base charger into astandard AC wall outlet .The unit is fully charged when the light goes out. 5Connect one end of the USB cable into the chargingport of the unit, then connect the other end into a USBjack of your PC.The unit is fully charged when the light goes out. 6Low BatteryUnder normal usage condition, the fully charged battery canoperate up to 3-hour of talk time and up to 120-hour ofstandby time. During on state, when the battery power isrunning low, the Neckloop beeps once every 30 secondsand the red indicator flashes every 30 seconds. Charge theNeckloop as described above; else the Neckloop will shutdown when voltage fall below operating voltage.uTurning On and Off the NeckloopuSet up wih the Phone for the first timeTo turn on:To turn off:press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds; theNeckloop beeps once and Blue indicator flashes 4 times.The flashing continues once every 3 seconds after theNeckloop goes to standby mode.press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds; theNeckloop beeps once and the Red indicator flashes 4 times,and power off.Before using your Neckloop for the first time, you must pair itwith your Bluetooth phone. The following informationdescribes a typical pairing procedure between a Neckloopand a Bluetooth phone. However, the pairing proceduremay subject to different makes and models of the phones.13Ensure both the Neckloop and phone is within 10 metersoperating range. There are no obstructions or inter-ference in between.Ensure the phone has the latest and working firmware.Send phone for firmware update.Power off and on the devices if the above steps do notsolve the problem.If problem persists after taken all above steps, send theNeckloop to authorized service center. Check with the localdealer.
7Pairing the Neckloop and Bluetooth PhonePlace the Neckloop and phone close to each other, within1-meter.Make sure that the phone is on, and the Neckloop is off.Prepare the Neckloop in pairing mode: press and holdMFB (6 seconds) until the Red and Blue indicators flashalternately.Neckloop stays in pairing mode for about 2minutes.Prepare the phone in pairing mode: refer to phone s userguide for detail. Pairing procedure may subject to differentmakes and models.Enter the Bluetooth menu on the phone and enables theBluetooth function. Enter the submenu to set the phone insearch for Bluetooth devices; activates the search. Thephone searches for Bluetooth devices within 10 metersrange and list all devices on its display. shouldappear; else repeat pairing procedure.SelectEnter the passcode 0000 and enter OK to paired theNeckloop and phone.When pairing completes, the Neckloop Blue indicatorflashes (4 times) rapidly; then connects with the phone.If both devices fail to pair or are not paired within the timelimit (2 minutes), after a long low beep, the Neckloop goesto standby state. Roughhandling can damage the Neckloop.Do keep the Neckloop in proper storage, dry place, freefrom dust and extreme temperatures when not in use.6. TroubleshootingIf the Neckloop is unable to operate properly; forexample unable to power on, unable to pair/connect tothe phone and etc, please try the following:Ensure the battery is properly charged, fully drainedbattery may take a while to charge up.Ensure the Neckloop and the phone is turned on.Ensure the Neckloop is paired to the phone; refer topairing procedure.Ensure the Bluetooth feature on the phone is activated,and the phone is connected to the Neckloop.
8The Blue indicator flashes once every 3 seconds on apaired Neckloop. The Neckloop is on standby mode,awaiting to make or receive calls.7.uConnecting the Neckloop and the PhoneuDisconnecting the Neckloop and the PhoneOnce paired, both the Neckloop and phone will connect toeach other automatically when switched ON and are within(10 meters) range. Ensure Bluetooth feature is enabled onthe phone.When not using the Neckloop and the phone, they can bedisconnected as follows:Power off the Neckloop.Disconnect the Neckloop or switch off the Bluetoothfunction on the phone.Keep the Neckloop and the phone for more than 20meters apart.1.2.3.114. Safety Information5. Care and MaintenancePlease make sure that your attention is focused, whenusing Neckloop while driving.Use only adaptor approved for use with this particulardevice. The use of any other types may be dangerous.Keep the Neckloop and accessories out of reach fromchildren.Turn off the Neckloop prior to boarding an aircraft. Do notuse the Neckloop in an aircraft.There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technologyin some locations. These could include hospitals, patrolstations, laboratories, potentially explosive surroundingsand etc.Do not attempt to open the Neckloop, only the authorizedmaintenance staff should perform the service. Pleasecheck with your local dealer.Do not expose the Neckloop to extreme high or lowtemperatures.Do not expose the Neckloop to liquid, moisture orhumidity; it is not waterproof.Do not expose the Neckloop to dusty and dirtyenvironment; moving parts may be clogged and preventproper usage.

Using the NeckloopThe Neckloop will support the following features listed.Dialing from the Phone: Make calls on the phone in normalways.Voice Dialing from the Neckloop: If the phone supportsvoice dialing, push the MFB on the Neckloop .When the beep tone is heard, say the desired name (voicetag).Redialing the Last Dialed Number: When no call is inprogress, press the MFB twice.To answer a call, wait for the Neckloop ring tone, then pressthe MFB to accept call; or answer call via phone in thenormal way.To reject an incoming call, wait for the Neckloop ring tone,thenTo end an active call, press the MFB to drop the call; or endcall via phone in the normal way.Adjust the Volume control up/down to desired level.Making CallsAnswering CallsRejecting CallsEnding CallsAdjusting Neckloop Volumetwice quicklypress and hold the MFB for 1.5 seconds.You can also press button once during a conversationto increase the volume or press button once todecrease it.VOL+VOL-10Muting the microphoneVOL+ VOL-Playing musicNOTE:Low Battery IndicationPress and hold and buttons during aconversation to mute the microphone.
