Pull Cord Unit
Operation
Pull Cord Unit (PCU) is employed for radio control purpose during emergencies
involving fire, security, safety of life….and so on.
When emergency switch is pulled down, the PCU will transmit a signal to panel and
LED will flash every 2 secs. PCU will continue to retransmit the signal every 5 mins.
When the emergency switch is pushed up (return to standby position), the PCU will
perform 3 quick flashes and transmit restore signal to panel. The LED flash and
PCU transmission will cease.
Battery
The PCU uses two 1.5V “AAA” Alkaline batteries.
The PCU can detect low battery automatically by performing self test every 21 hrs.
Low battery detection operates at a threshold of 2.3V ± 2%. If 3 consecutive signal
transmissions (spaced at least 30 secs apart) occur with battery below 2.3V, a low battery
code will be sent with the 4th signal transmission.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
