Battery information
Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. When the talk and standby times are
noticeably shorter than normal, replace the battery. Use only GT701 approved batteries, and
recharge your battery only with GT701 approved chargers designated for this device.

• Always use original GT701 batteries for your safety.

Care and maintenance
Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care.
The following suggestions will help you protect your warranty coverage.
• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or moisture can contain
minerals that will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, remove the battery,
and allow the device to dry completely before replacing it.
• Do not attempt to open the device other than as instructed in this guide.
• Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and
fine mechanics.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device.
• To reset the device from time to time for optimum performance, power off the device and

Operating environment
• This device meets RF exposure guidelines when used either in the normal use position
at least 1.5 centimeters (5/8 inch) away from the body.
• Parts of the device are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to the device. Do not
place credit cards or other magnetic storage media near the device, because information
stored on them may be erased.

A. General Description
The GT701 Tracker is a portable GPS tracking device integrated with GSM (Global System
for communication), GPS(Global Positioning System) and GIS(Geographic information System)
can be used in an emergency. The GT701 not only is an ideal product for personal security and
monitoring but also provide the Tracker transmits positional information via SMS text messages
and GPRS allowing the guardian to monitor.
Its position can be located via a cellular phone
and the internet. The GT701 has the unique geo-fence feature to trigger an alert and send
report to the guardian and the service provider, if the GT701 leaves or gets to another
pre-defined area. The monitoring feature also saves power consumption and allows the
guardian to remotely modify the GT701 parameters any time. The parameter of GT701 saved in
SIM card can be modified directly or by the service provider.

In case of emergency, the user pressing and holding the SOS
button (for about 5 seconds) then the blue SYS LED turns on after,
release the button. The GT701 will transmit the positional
information via SMS text message to the 3 preset user-defined
telephone numbers (T1~T3) of the SIM card and to the service
provider via GPRS.
Telematics
Monitoring &
tracing Mode
When the phone book number of T1, T2 or T3 calls GT701, It will
automatically hang up and transmit its positional information via
SMS text message to the caller.
Geo-Fence
Notification
If the GT701 leaves or gets to one of the three pre-defined areas, it
will automatically transmit the positional information via SMS text
message to the 3 preset user-defined telephone numbers (T1~T3)

This function can be enabled for GT701 to regularly report its
positional information at a preset interval time. It is disabled by
default (value 0000). Setting this function, please check the

The GT701 is able to transmit positional information by GSM and

power LED will turn red. When the battery power shortage, it may
cause SOS messaging or other functions unsuccessful. Please
charge as soon as possible to ensure normal operation.
Recharging
Indication
The GT701 will be powered on when the charger plugs in and the
Power LED (green) start to flash slowly and regularity for several
minutes. When Power LED (green) keep lighting continuously that
is fully charged. Please unplug the charger socket for protecting
battery. If not to use, please shut down the power or take off the
battery.

The GT701 can be recharged with the supplied vehicle adapter
(DC12V) or household power supply adapter (AC110V-240V).

G. Product Notification
1. The GT701 only uses for GSM(Global System for Mobile communications)system.
2. Please turn off the power first before replacing the SIM card.
3. Please use a standard cellular phone to disable the SIM card’s security PIN code and voice
mailbox function before installing the SIM card into the GT701.
4. Do not delete or change the phone book name of SIM card.
It may affect the functions.
5. When the battery power shortage, it may cause SOS messaging or other functions
unsuccessful. Please charge as soon as possible to ensure normal operation.
6. The Antenna of GT701 is upon the case. Please always toward the sky for the best state of
receiving and avoid been shielded by any metal material.
7. The SIM card can be used either a standard cellular phone or a SIM card reader attached to
computer.
8. Use only the supplied or an approved accessory including battery and charger.

unauthorized accessory or attachments could damage and may violate the device, that the

H. Quick Start Guide
1. Note
Please comply with the “For your safety” and “Product Notification" section to use the
product.
(1) Please use a standard cellular phone to disable the SIM card’s security PIN code and
voice mailbox function before installing the SIM card into the GT701.
(2) The system is working and busy when the SYS LED (blue) turns on, it is inactive
pressing any key except the SOS function.
(3) When GPS was on saving mode, all of the keys function could be delayed action than
wake-up mode.
2. Start to use
Please open the cover of battery of the GT701 ,and put into SIM card, battery shown as
below:

4. To start the phone book
Pressing and holding the power button for about 3 seconds the GT701 start to link to GSM
system signal for about 60 seconds, the GSM LED(red) flash fast first and then flash slow

each for several times depend on GSM received state. The GT701 will check the phone
book name for about 60~80 seconds when the SYS LED (blue) turns on. If there is no data
on SIM card, the lights of GPS, SYS & Power LED will flash simultaneously.
If so, presses and holds the “SOS” button for few seconds until all lights of GPS, SYS &
Power LED dying out. Then the GT701 will generate the phone book name of T1, T2, T3
and INTERVAL (as below list) which parameter is default setting.
5. To modify phone book
To modify the contents of the phone book of SIM card, please contact to your service
provider.
(To avoiding GT701 can not use abroad, add the country code when modify the phone
number.)

Setting regular report, default is 0000, setting for a unit of a second.
7. To set Geo-Fence Notification
All of T1~T3 users can set the function via the service provider’s platform. The service
provider will send commands to the GT701 via GPRS when user notices. If the setting was
successful the GT701 will send the ack message to setting user and the user can check
correct or not through the map.
8. Report rate setting
The phone book name is INTERVAL, default is 0000, setting for a unit of a second. The

minimum is 0180 if through GPRS transmission. Default is closed. The GT701 will not
enter the saving mode if the setting time is less than 10mimutes.
9. Powered on/saving mode/wake up mode
Pressing and holding the power button for about 3 seconds to turn on the GT701 and it will
start to link to GSM system signal for about 60 seconds. The GSM LED (red) flash fast first
and then flash slow each for several times depend on GSM received state, please waiting for
the SYS LED (blue) lighted after. The GT701 will read all data of SIM card about few
seconds then the SYS LED (blue) die out until done. The GT701 is searching GPS signal
when the GPS LED (red) start to flash. The GT701 will search position date for about 5
minutes then to locate the first position, when located the GPS LED (red) lighted for about 20
sec, it will die out and that is GT701 enter the saving mode for about 518 sec. It is a circle
that GT701 will automatically awaken and search for GPS signal for about 1’30” or after
located 20 seconds then it will enter the saving mode.
10. Function perform
(1) To Send an Emergency Message
The user presses and holds the ‘SOS’ button (for about 5 seconds) until the SYS LED
(blue) turns on then release it, and the GT701 will transmit the positional information to
the 3 preset user-defined telephone numbers (T1~T3) via SMS and to the service
provider via GPRS.
(2) Telematics Monitoring & tracing Mode
When the phone book number of T1, T2 or T3 calls GT701, It will automatically hang up
and transmit its positional information via SMS to the caller.
(3) Geo-Fence Notification
If the GT701 leaves or gets to one of the three pre-defined Geo-Fence areas, it will
automatically transmit the positional information to notify the 3 preset user-defined
telephone numbers (T1~T3) via SMS and to the service provider via GPRS.
(4) Low Battery Indication
If the battery power level is less than 25%, the GT701 will transmit a SMS text message
to the 3 preset user-defined telephone numbers (T1~T3) and to the service provider via
GPRS. The power LED will turn red. When the battery power shortage, it may cause
SOS messaging or other functions unsuccessful. Please charge as soon as possible to

(5) Internet Maps Link
If the cellular phone owner of T1, T2 or T3 whose equipment with web-browsing function,

(6) Link with GPRS SERVER
The contents of parameter can be modified via the service provider in GPRS commands
anytime. The function depends on your local service provider.
