The device is battery powered using a 9Volt PP3 battery. The device can also be powered using a micro usb connection and a low voltage power supply. The power supply is not under tests as this is not supplied with the device Primary Function The device under test contains a passive infra-red detector that detects motion and transmits the details on the number of activations to a central system every 5 minutes. The transmission is intended for the recording of activity and is not intended as a live monitoring solution. The sensor is battery powered and is normally located under a desk or within a workspace. Ensure that the sensor is within range of the gateway sensor. 3. Using the end if a paper clip or similar tool, activate the registration switch to register the sensor onto the network. When depressed the LED’s will illuminate and an entry will appear in the gateway software table view as described in step 11 of the software installation section.
